If you had to cast all your 5th year friends as well known book characters, who would everyone be?
Oh my Merlin, how can I choose just one character each? But here, I guess I’ll pick a few. Ugh, thank you anonymous, this is such a fun question!
Kelsey: She may not like this answer, but she’s the Charlotte Lucas to my Elizabeth Bennet; the other half that I need to get by, even if people try to underrate their friendship. Please still love me, @kelseycornerclaw?
Leo: The Big Friendly Giant! I don’t know if it’s an exact fit personality wise, but it describes how I see my big tall human pillow.
Lauren: I know I always joke about dressing up as Mal from the Descendants series (WHICH WERE BOOKS FIRST, PEOPLE!) but I actually think that fits @goyleandtrouble better. Mal’s tough and she was born into a family that dictated people’s opinions of her, but she has a heart of gold once she opens up to you, and she’s so much more than people give her credit for. Plus she seems like she’d really like Maleficent, so she wouldn’t mind being a character who was her daughter, right?
Olly: Tintin from His Dark Materials. I once saw him described as ‘an empty page on which adventures can be drawn,’ and I just think that’s really beautiful. Olly still has everything ahead of him with finding his passion and finding what sets him apart and makes him the best of his whole family, and just like Tintin, he’s friendly, honorable, and loyal. It’s a great fit for @lionhearthopkins.
Emma: Emma reminds me a little bit of Bilbo Baggins. She’s always willing to go off on an adventure, and save the day, and she’s her own person no matter what. I could also see @emmaiscoote loving not just the journey, but the cozy, earthy hobbit hole waiting for her when she returns. Oh! Or Scout Finch, Emma also reminds me a bit of Scout Finch with her adventuring.
Cassie: Harriet Welsh, from Harriet the Spy. @cassiedursley‘s art is so beautiful, and I think it’s curious and truthful the same way that Harriet’s writing is in the novel.
Madi & Mason: Thing 1 and Thing 2. I know it’s so cliche, but it’s also so adorable, don’t you think, @madisonisaravenclaw?
