Kitt simply shrugged at the lioness's comment of preferring to keep the scars and other markings she had received in the past. She honestly thought that it was a little odd that Sekhmet, or any game sprite for that matter, had that way of thinking. Why would anyone ever want to keep permanent injuries or blemishes? ... Ones that were never programmed to be on their model in the first place. It was a very strange concept, that much is true. Kitt herself was very vain and had always worried whenever her character changed during game upgrades. Even when she went on her game jumping adventures, she always made sure to take a health potion, for just in case. Nevertheless, the felinoid tried not to judge the big cat's decision and simply shrugged it off nonchalantly. "Hmm! Alright then ... To each his own, I guess" she replied.
She listened intently as Sekhmet explained her opinions on the matter of the air pirates, looking over lazily with hooded eyes back at the now vacant Burger Time terminal. Humming to herself, she looks back at the lioness. "Well ... that may be true if we were talkin' about sprites that live in jungle themed games and the like.... But don't worry about them. Despite how they act, they are still coworkers of mine ... I mean we've shared the same game for over twenty years. Besides ... They an' I may look ... bestial .... But we don't really have the same type of instincts" Kitt informed her, hoping that big cat wouldn't take it the wrong way as an insult.
"However, I'll admit that a couple of them are a few layers short of a fruit cake ... But Drogon is not. He always knows when it's time ta call it quits" she ended in a matter-of-factual manner. She has obviously gone through this countless times before and knew well enough of the pirates' behavior.
She reaches up to lightly massage one of her triangular-shaped ears as the topic of the Surge Protector came up again. "Yeah! ... As for him ... I'll just explain ta him exactly what happened. No need for lyin' or anything. We were not in the wrong ... And I'm sure some of the folk back at the restaurant would vouch for us. This isn't the first time he's dealt with them ... but they only act up when .... when I'm around" the felinoid hesitated, turning her gaze sideways for just a bit.
Mouse quirked a black-patched brow as he caught the not so subtle expression Sekhmet had made towards him after agreeing with his suggestion and just responded with a slightly exasperated eye roll. "Oi" he mumbled before following her on his hind legs.
At hearing the lioness recommend at hiding in the cord, the duo perked and blinked, briefly looking at each other than back at the big cat. They most likely were thinking of the same kind of response. "The cord!? .. Are ya nuts!? ... Well, with you maybe to a certain extant, but that's besides the point!" the piebald rodent blurted out in shock. "Do ya even know what kinda blokes are lurkin' in there!?" he continued to stammer in a light huff, his tufted tail swishing erratically side to side.
"Well, obviously, neither one of us has ever been to that part of the arcade before" Kitt began as she walked up to her little partner's side. "I've heard plenty of rumors that's it's where a lot of the homeless sprites go ... And that a good portion of them have a .. Well ... Lost there marbles" she replied with a bit of a twitchy smirk. Even though she was a programmed heroine, it did not mean that she was free of fear completely, ... especially when it means venturing into the dark abyss of the unknown.
