Hyrule Field was abuzz with activity, the most it had seen in over a century. Paths were lined with festive paper lanterns, stalls with vendors from all over Hyrule fill much of the area near Lookout Landing. A large area was cleared away with a stage built for musicians and people looking to dance, a bar stall installed nearby for those old enough to enjoy beverages from every region.
Volunteers from the Monster-Control Crew, given lessons by Tear on what to look out for and how to deal with various situations that may come up in a large festival like this, patrol the festival grounds. Since Tear chose to take the day off, a man named Hoz was in charge of the day's guards.
Lookout Landing was crowded as Sil worked to finish up some last minute tasks. While Revali and Mipha worked to help Sil, Tear sat up on the rafters, looking down at the people. As much as she enjoyed festivals, she can't stand crowds, and banquets at the castle were always the worst in that regard. She could really only compare the current crowd to something like that, she's just grateful that she's not working.
Tear did managed to dress up for that day, a custom dress made just for her. It was blue, with white animal symbols along the belt and a sword and flower, the sleeves cut off just before her elbows before flowing loose, and the skirt was flowy as well. Her hair wasn't too different, save for extra braids in it done by Revali, a few of his feathers decorating her hair. She had some light blue eyeshadow on, as she wasn't a fan of heavy makeup. Despite not being on duty, her Champion's Sword sat in it's scabbard, wrapped around her waist.
While she looked down at the crowd below, she kept an eye out for Birdie, happy that he had decided to stay for the festival. She believed he needed a day to just have fun, and forget about his journey for a little bit. At least, she hopes that's what will happen.
