So the bit on the top left is just a fun little doodle with Clary as a Dala Horse. The cutiemark in the corner is because I already love Clary’s cutiemark, it’s so pretty and unique, but since she got a necklace change I thought the heart gem would work to tie it all in? I also think a heart symbol is perfect for Clary, which is part of the reason why I love the new necklace.
I added a little wreath of sage leaves and flowers made of the same gold and gems as Clary’s necklace. This is in honor of the Greek/Roman jewelry style that Crystal Ponies seem to wear. In addition, I wanted to take Clary’s curls to the next level, just for fun. My thought is maybe one of her parents carry the curly gene, based on Curly/Bashkir Curly Horse. They have curly coats, manes, ear tufts, even eyelashes. So I added some curls to parts of her coat, a little more to her eyelashes and eyebrows, and her fetlocks. My thought is when she’s in colder weather areas her coat grows more curly and wooly for protection. Otherwise the curls are limited to her mane/tail, fetlocks, ears and chest. c: I also wanted to add a whorl of hair in the center of her star, and an extended snip/lip mark.
