Gruncle Grogar, what can you tell us of Vamponies?

“Ah yes vamponies. Do not let the common Thestral fool you. They are not vamponies. Thestral’s are basically pony fruit bats. Though some may rarely crave blood to survive. Vamponies are a pony version of a Vampire. What you thought only ponies were vampires? Any way Vamponies are group of semi immortal ponies that require the blood of others to live. While they can eat and drink, common foods like a normal pony, they will always require a constant source of blood to survive. Most vamponies are result of a magical experiment gone wrong, while others are either born as a vampony or bitten by another vampony. Like any other vampire, vamponies have the capability to infect other ponies when biting on their necks. Though usually only intentionally, there have been some cases where vamponies have accidentally turned their victim into a fellow vampire. While mostly nocturnal, vamponies can come out in the day, though only if they are covered up by either clothes or a magic spell. Vamponies may seem immortal however they do eventually die like every other pony, they just happen to live a few centuries longer then the average pony. Though according to my research most of the vampony community has died out. As a result of Luna’s banishment. She was the one who held domain over them like the thestrals, however many ponies blamed them for Luna’s corruption. Thinking they influenced her to make the night last forever so they could hunt freely. With Luna gone, there was no royal authority to protect them from being hunted by the common pony.” Grogar summarized.
