Your OC(s) are forced to admit they were wrong about someone.
I just think its really neat to see a stoic character teetering on the edge of their breaking point. The team watches them creep closer and closer to losing it, but they never fully take the plunge, pushing their limits further and further. The team wonders if they even CAN get the character to open up to them.
And when they do break, its catastrophic.
