Hey everyone! Just letting you know that work has started up again on the third Detective Exie case! Now, all the graphics are done, but only the first investigation portion is done so far, so it's going to be a while until the case is fully finished. If you're interested in a few spoiler-free preview images, some graphics, a character design sheet, and a few scrapped graphics are below the cut. In the mean time, I'll try to post more often.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THIS BLOG

So, it's been a little while since I've posted here. As I may have said before, I have a summer job, and it's cutting into a lot of my time. And when I'm not working, I tend to be busy with other things. So, you shouldn't expect a ton of updates here for a while. I'll have some days where I'll try to make updates; I'm going to Trotcon in two weeks, and my birthday's on the fifth of August, but aside from that, I don't really know when I'll be updating. I'll still me making some filler posts here and there, but you really shouldn't expect a lot.

TLDR; Don't have tons of free time, working on other things, not a lot of updates for a while

Oh god, I love doing this. I love designing characters so much more than I like using them. Which isn't to say I don't like using them - Designing's just more fun. :P

Well, I was going to do a New Years picture, but then I realised it wasn't working out. However, I did manage to draw most of the ponies who were going to be in it save for a few minor details. So, rather then let such pictures go to waste, I thought I'd post them anyway, if only to prove I still live.

The first two are Stonehoof Bastion, King of Excalibour and Ex Iustitia, detective in the Ponyville Police Department.

Notes, because I like notes: Bastion's mane has grown a lot since his reference picture and I somehow didn't pick up on that until after it was mentioned. Aside from that, I'm not too certain if I got the shape of the body and the head down correctly, so I do apologise if I made anyone cry due to my poor understanding of anatomy. 

As for Exie, no real difficulties there, save for the fact that I am terrible at the drawing of mares. Aside from that, my computer and I who are often in disagreement on many things, agree that yellow is a difficult colour to work with. If I got the didn't get the shade of yellow right, please berate me for being blind.

Expect more soon. But don't at the same time because I said I was working on something tomorrow on New Years Day. I am not reliable at all.
