he actually confirmed in an interview (i think) that Darth Vader was given this name because it translates as "Dark Father" or something similar - so yes i believe it was intentional

Jihyun thought it would be a good idea  to read up a little more on the history of other countries, not just her own and a select few. She figured, what about ancient empires? The Korean had already pulled up some websites, checked out a couple history books, and had begun to study. Except, she was struggling. She sighed in frustration and flipped through the pages, hoping that there was something to make it easier. A dictionary in the back perhaps? A simplified timeline? Maybe she could search some sort of simplified version meant for kids on the internet...

Personally, I didn't know what to expect from the first episode. It took me completely by surprise. It was fucking amazing, and the voices now fit the character's personalitiesn in my opinion. Love it.

Part of my neighborhood is right beside the turnpike. I'm not kidding; the houses on one side of one street literally has their backyard end at the turnpike's big white wall. However, the neighborhood is so big, most of it you can't hear the cars.

Speaking of fourth grade field trips to St. Augustine (goddamn, does every Florida school require you to take a trip to St. Augustine in fourth grade??), when I went, my class took a picture around one of the motars (the cannon that's short and really wide) and we decided to put one of the students in it and look like we were firing him off as ammo and it's still my favorite picture from elementary.

yeah i think almost every school in the state does it bc my friend who lives in the panhandle told me about going one time as well haha i remember thinking it was so cool bc (at the time it seemed like) it was so far away and i had never been on a charter bus before and back then a lot of the regular school buses didn’t have ac so i was excited about that as well

edit from another blogger: i went on that trip too and my charter bus broke down in plant city right next to a cemetery so you can imagine the fun we had
