James absolutely couldn’t stop smiling. Normally, he knew he was far more neutral than this, but he just couldn’t help it.

Drew was back. He’d missed the kid like he couldn’t even begin to say. Things seemed boring in Auradon without him.

Perry. PerryPerryPerry. He couldn’t actually believe... somehow, he was smiling even more, just thinking about her.

And, on top of all of this, he’d gotten a letter from Amelia and Delbert today. He missed them something fierce and nothing meant more to him then getting to write to them.

So yeah, when he bumps into Fern, he’s still smiling, though startled. With a small chuckle, he holds out a hand to help her back up. “I am so sorry! You all right?”
