Just wondering, have you read abot? that bit with ritsu and the spirits in your reigen fic seemed quite familiar ;)

Yes, I absolutely adore ABoT! The funniest thing about that Ritsu scene is that I wrote it before ever reading ABoT, though I'm pretty sure that chapter existed long before mine did. I remember when I wrote that scene, I asked myself, "What's the riskiest thing Ritsu would do right now?" and the answer was always teaming up with Dimple and making a bad deal. I leaned pretty hard on Supernatural ("Sammy!!") for that decision, lol!

Dang, I really need to reread ABoT now, haha! Thanks for the ask, and for reading my fic <3

Hello!! I've read "Deconstructed" over five times at this point, it's so good and wonderful and angsty and I love it so so much!! Do you perhaps,, have any Usopp fics you can recommend 👀

Firstly, thank you so so much, you're too kind!! And YES yes I do thank you so much for asking. These are just the few that I keep in my bookmarks, but I promise that when I have more time I'll return to this post and look for a few more!! (Warning: a few of these are Usopp ship fics. While I don't particularly have any OP ships, these fics do a great job of painting Usopp as something beautiful and precious in the eyes of someone who loves him dearly, so I still love reading them.)

Be Brave Usopp by DrizzlyMango. This one has one of my fav AU Usopp tropes (blind Usopp!) and is just such a great homage to his character. It is, however, Usopp/Sanji, so beware if you don't like ship fics! I still think it's a great Usopp fic though :)

salvage by hongmunmu. Usopp and Franky bonding. My entire heart belongs here.

'Til You Feel It All Around You by Tonko. Focus on Usopp, Zoro, and Robin when they get age-reversed. You can tell the author really, really loves Usopp and Sanji. Same.

Fever, Fever, Go Away by KazimaKuwabara. Usopp is sick/poisoned and it is very, very angsty. Still a WIP but only 1 chapter to go!

of pop greens and tangerines by ココダ - coco (arurun). I will never not recommend this fic, especially to Usopp lovers! A retelling of canon with blind Usopp and amputee Nami going back in time to relive their adventures with the Strawhats. SO much angst, badass Usopp & Nami, and tons of humor! Just as good as canon, I stg. WIP, and veeeeery long.

The Coward's Redemption by Brucenorris007. Similar to above, but canon Usopp goes back in time and decides to be braver for his crew. Needless to say, he's a badass. WIP!

between the tiger's teeth (is the best place to sleep) by demonzoro. Ship fic between Zoro/Usopp. You can tell the author loves these two characters dearly. Plus, casually trans Usopp!!

Ahhh sorry for taking a bit to get back on this! I didn't even know Tkym week was happening, I'm so behind the fandom events, haha! Unfortunately, I don't write much for Haikyuu anymore unless it's gift fics. But I'm looking forward to reading what everyone has created this week!

25. Worst thing that’s ever happened to you?

Six or seven years ago one of my friends was on the phone with me as she was self harming and she almost ended her life. It was the scariest night of my life. I’m happy to say that she’s gotten the help she needs and is living a happy and healthy life. We’re not very close anymore, but she’s still very important to me.

33. Best day of your life?

One of my favorite memories, and one that always comes up when I’m asked this question, is from when I was driving in my car with my friends and singing a ridiculous song and I looked over at my front seat passenger and in that moment I knew that I loved him. It wasn’t the best day of my life (I’m not sure exactly what that would be), but I cherish this memory dearly. My closest friends in the back seat, laughing and talking and drinking slushies, and my friend in the passenger seat, mumbling the words to a song he can’t remember and laughing when I forget the words too. I wish I could relive that night over and over. 

40. Do you believe in love?

Yes. Whether it’s romantic or platonic, love is definitely the only thing keeping me going. I can’t even explain how much I appreciate love and what those I have loved and those who have loved me have done for me. Even if it’s fleeting or temporary, love is worth believing in for sure!

26. Best thing that’s ever happened to you?

I would say deciding to rush my fraternity! It’s a co-op that I was never going to try and rush, but I was feeling lonely one night and they were having a speedfriending event, so I went! I ended up getting chosen to pledge, and now I’m actually an exec member! Some of my closest friends I only met because of this fraternity, and I think I would be incredibly lonely and my life would not be near as fulfilling without them. A few of my frat brothers are actually the entire reason I started watching anime, so I never would have met all of the wonderful people here on tumblr either (including my Pac-Man friends)!

29. Worst mistake?

A good question. I have a tendency to not burn bridges, and sometimes I think that’s a mistake. I hold onto people who hurt me for too long, and one of those people ended up hurting not only me but a few of my loved ones because I refused to let them go. I really, really regret that. 

37. Near death experience?

Yes! I was 10 and my little sister was 7. She jumped off of a deep dock, our family was drunk and playing cards, and I was the only one who saw her struggling to swim. I jumped in after her and held her up. In the process, her efforts to stay above water made me sink, and I actually passed out from lack of air. Drowning? Super fucking scary. But we’re both okay now, obviously!
