CLOSED STARTER FOR @askingrachelberry
Once the football game was over, things turned chaotic fast. The team was still out on the field celebrating their miraculous win. To be fair, it was well deserved after their long losing streak. Sam himself still couldn't believe it, but he didn't have time to dwell on it as the crowd in the stands suddenly turned mobile. Everyone was going every which way and the blonde even lost sight of his best friend in the anarchy. He stood up on the bleachers, searching through the mob of people. Even with all the McKinley gear Sam decked Blaine out in, he was immersed in the sea of all red and white.
He took out his phone and texted his best friend, sending Dude! I'll meet you at the gym, it's crazy out here. He was too busy looking down that he didn't see the person in front of him before he crashed into them from behind. Thankfully, he had fast reflexes and was able to take a hold of their arm before they stumbled down the stairs with the party of people heading down.
"Woah... sorry, about that! Oh hey, Rachel."
He eased them off the stairs and to the side so they wouldn't get swept down in the crowd still trying to leave the stands. “It's nuts, right? But I guess this is what happens when the football team finally wins,” he laughed with a shake of his head. It definitely felt like something out of Friday Night Lights or any other football moment after the underdog home team wins at the end of the show or film. “The parties tonight are going to be absolutely wild.” Sam had never been so glad to not be hosting one before, after the last one they threw, they'd decided to ease back on the partying the following semester. Or at least Kurt and Sam decided while Brett sulked about it. But that's what happened when you mixed alcohol and illegal fireworks. Not only were they lucky nothing caught on fire, they were lucky no one (Brett mostly) didn't lose a limb.
“You don't usually come to these things, do you?” He followed up, squinting at her. “Are you going to go to one of the parties too?”
