I hc that nart has bpd not just in this au but like in general.. Just how all his emotions are so strong and intense.. How he acts without regard for his own physical safety.. He’s very impulsive and self destructive at times… sasuke is his fp easily.. And you can tell that from how drastically narts mood can change in relations to sasuke or sasuke being mentioned.. And how nart just shuts downs when he’s really sad.. BUTTT in relations to hockey au fjskahfkashf
This affects nart by nart taking the game very personally.. He’s the captain and he feels responsible for how the game goes.. They win, it was a team effort! They lose…. Its bc nart wasn’t good enough.. Bc he didn’t make the right pass bc he didn’t try hard enough bc he didnt read the play properly.. The team is pretty used to this.. They know there’s basically nothing they can say or do to get nart out of these moods.. They try but nothing really gets through to him.. Nart just shuts down… he undresses in silence, eyes fixed on a spot on the floor.. He says good game while he leaves but does not looks at anyone.. he will just wait for sasuke outside.. Narts mind is overwhelmingly full yet painfully empty at the same time. He feels everyone blames him for the loss.. And if they dont..they should.. So then nart is just fighting inside his own mind trying to convince himself why everyone should be mad at him and how he deserves that anger… just god the emotional whiplash of being so over confident in his abilities to the feeling of being utterly useless seconds apart is tiring enough…god i could write an essay on bpd nart and how this affects him on and off the ice sjdhasjkd but dw in this au sasuke and iruka(and others too dw just a lesser degree then sasuke and iruka).. Reassure nart all the time.. They are clear with their thoughts and feelings so there is no room to misunderstand.. And they encourage nart to do the same because Naruto is loved..
