I have generally kept my opinions to myself on this subject because unlike people who feel the need to post their hatred of Radiodust in the damn Radiodust tag I've learned over the years in fandom to choose my battles wisely. Some things are not worth the inevitable drama.

I don't think they make sense together, I don't think Husk would bring out the best in Angel, and I've never much cared for his character even in the pilot.

I don't really get Cherri and Penn either but that's a whole other thing LMFAO

Thinking about that fanart of Angel alone in his room on his birthday with just a cupcake sitting in the dark, makes me think maybe he STILL does that when he moves to the hotel. His birthday is known, but the first time his birthday rolls around when living at the hotel, Vaggie and Charlie are having a rough time and so Charlie forgets, Vaggie didn't care to know in the first place, etc. So Angel comes home after a rough day at work on his birthday and he has a cupcake with him and a single tiny birthday candle and he takes it up to his room. He takes a shower so he doesn't feel quite so gross (although, honestly, he always feels gross. He can't scrub it off, he's tried before) and then puts on some comfy clothes that he doesn't expect to be seen in, barefoot, and lights the candle on his birthday cake and turns out all the lights and just kind of stares sadly at the candle.

And then he hears a knock at the door and Alastor announcing himself before entering the room.

*sobbing* I do love this but also it's heartbreaking because I just want Angel to be happy you know? like he deserves someone to celebrate his birthday. Honestly it would be interesting if Al didn't even know it was his birthday he just wanted to check in on him because he seemed sad and then he see's his cupcake and his candle and he's like it's your birthday ad no one did anything and Angel just shrugs because he's used to it and Alastor is like I will give you anything you like for your birthday and maybe Angel just wants a kiss. Nothing major and Alastor is surprised but he agrees and Angel expects a kiss on the cheek or whatever but it's his birthday and Alastor doesn't do anything half way. So he's giving him the best kiss of his afterlife like... the sort of kiss you see in movies. The kind that they write music about and poetry and the Angel was pretty sure didn't really exist. He's done a lot for work but nothing has ever made him feel as good as that kiss. It's breathtaking and shocking and Angel could get addicted to those kisses. Alastor didn't intend for it to last as long as it did but he got caught up in the moment and the feel and the warmth and now he kinda wants to keep doing it.

Both Angel and Alastor are good at taking care of sick people, but they are not the best patients. Alastor more than Angel, because Angel can be placated with his phone and pet pig.

Alastor has to be either drugged or Angel has to cuddle him to get him to stay in bed.

Which does sometimes lead to Angel getting sick, thanks Al.

I absolutely see it too. Also I love Al being extra needy when sick and Angel's like eh why not. Also I imaigne Angel likes to make Alastor soup when he's not feeling well. They both would cook for each other. Alastor would play soft jazz for Angel to help him sleep and Angel would play with Alastor's ears to help him sleep.

So, had a very silly radiodust thought, something that happens before they date (or Al even realizes he has feelings for Angel)

Alastor, talking to Rosie: I made a joke about eating Angel's pet pig, and he looked at me like I not only insulted his sister, but his mother and grandmother as well. I don't know why, but I felt the urge to apologize to him for that.

Rosie, knowing her bestie has caught feelings: Mhmm, tell me more~

Alastor: I also felt the urge to apologize to his porcine companion for the joke.

That is honestly so adorable and you know Rosie knows all so she'd be like sipping her tea waiting for him to realize it himself.

Hi, same anon as the "Alastor loves to feed Angel" ask. You're not wrong about Val being like Mammon, in the old (now non-canon) Instagram/Sinstagram/Voxtagram posts, Valentino often made comments on Angel's posts that had food about how fat he was, and even gave him a weight-loss book.

UGH... I'm not at all surprised but also like... all the more reason to want Alastor to just eat him. KILL THAT MOTH ALASTOR! GO GO FEED!

truly like that is the one thing I think canon deserves is for Valentino to die. I do think in a lot of ways it's more satisfying from a story perspective for Angel to snap and do it. And maybe Alastor helps to get rid of the body. Honestly that would be a slay.

hi I just need to scream about how I was LITERALLY TALKING ABOUT ALASTOR’S SHADOW CRUSHING SO HARD ON ANGEL TODAY and then your post popped up. The radiodust gods know.

Listen my headcanon is ALWAYS that Alastor's shadow is like... Alastor's emotions to the highest possible degree. So of COURSE it would be obsessed with Angel. Any excuse to write Alastor's shadow curling up around Angel, I will take. He's jsut such a cutie and I love when Alastor's just like WHAT ARE YOU DOING? and his shadow's just being a total brat. He loves Angel so there.
