Twilight watched with wide eyes as the giant centaur, Tirek, stomped toward Ponyville from where she stood among the trees of the Everfree forest. She shouldn't really be worrying, honestly. Not when she knew the girls had already gotten everypony out of the rural village with the forewarning that he was coming. Hopefully they'd gotten far...She didn't know what she was going to do if their magic was taken even after all this effort. And hopefully the girls weren't going to come back this way for her either. At least not until she sent word. She wasn't ready; not by a long shot. And, by the looks of things, Tirek might have already found out what had happened to the Princesses' magic. If they came back before she was able to say she had all of this magic in her pinned to the ground and in her control.... Well...nothing good would come out of that. And frankly, it was something Twilight Sparkle was hoping to avoid. An inhale, and a long breath out from the mare cut through the silence, and it was then that Twilight stepped back and into the shade of the Everfree. Hopefully, she'd be able to get her magic under control. She needed to. Not facing Tirek right then was bothering her. But she knew if she went out under prepared she'd only fail. And she couldn't have that.
