Does Joker know about the loops you think?

Or is it just an other Buddhism reference/playing on Wonder being a fellow wildcard? Since the P5X/P5 crossovers are full of them.

I'm more inclined to think it's foreshadowing and/or a reference to Wonder being a wildcard, rather than specifically indicating that Joker knows about it, personally. It's possible Joker does know something, and this was hinting at that, but it seems like they've generally tried to keep these crossovers as canon-compliant with the original games as possible, so Joker having secret additional knowledge seems like it would contradict that... though you never really know, haha!

That said, I definitely do think it is meant to relate to the time loops on a meta level, whether Joker's aware of them or not.

I think who their initial personas are is related to why Joker looks so smug and mischievous during his AoA cut in while Wonder looks more on edge and serious. Lupin being this fictional gentleman thief who likes to portray an air of confidence and doing whatever the Hell he wants changing his target’s or targets’ life for the better and/or worse and sometimes putting himself through the ringer for his schemes.

While Jánošík was a real person who first fought in revolutions when he was 15 and was executed just ten years later. Also his awakening was far more violent than Ren’s with him nearly drowning to death! (And Merope drags him underwater again when summoning persona and Phantom Idols.)

i didn’t even think about comparing the source of their personas, but ren’s being based off a fictional thief versus nagisa’s being based on a real life robber is a fascinating angle! especially considering that arsene is a gentlemanly figure stealing paintings and riches who is expertly evading the law, and jánošík was a real ass man who robbed the rich because he needed to survive. the flair for the dramatics versus the hunger to see another day!!

and i DO think it’s very interesting that nagisa almost drowns until jánošík calls out to him and gives him the choice (well, ultimatum) to die or live, and not only is the velvet room an underwater tunnel, but merope specifically pushes him into the water to summon phantom idols. one day, i’ll have the time to truly ponder his connection to water/the sea/drowning…

I mean there’s already persona that the genders don’t match Nemesis and Ken, Kotone and Messiah, a good chunk of the new persona (Persona 2)in P5X are based on some kind of nymph regardless of gender of the user but that’s implied to be because of the method they’re created and seems to be based more on Merope Wonder’s attendant instead of user.

So like it’s not even canon. Persona don’t have to match the gender of the user it’s just that they often do.

I know it's not canon, that's why it doesn't matter, this is purely me being like "I don't like when people point to Naoto's personas being male as SPECIFICLY why he's a dude. There are lots of other reasons he's a dude, I don't think the persona is one of them"

In the Opera Cendrillon her father says very early on “Weep for me, Philemon.”

This could be indicative of The Yoshizawas having some sort of knowledge of or connection to Philemon the true master of The Velvet Room.

Unfortunately ,Atlus has done exactly nothing with this and probably never will.

I can't really say on this one other than it being an interesting fact about the opera sadly. I guess it would have been another neat thing for Atlus to add but idk, maybe the twins not having ties to Philemon works better for me (though Philemon being the reason Kasumi's spirit was able to fuse with Cendrillon I can see being a thing possibly).

Does Leblanc Lupin ever call himself anything similar to pillager of twilight or is that something completely unique to P5 Arsène? I haven’t seen anything but there might be something similar in a story I haven’t read. The only self given title that I remember is when he called himself the emissary of fate. Really like that one. Pretty cool title.

As far as I'm aware, no he has not. I don't think Lupin has any titles that have been used with any frequency in canon other than "gentleman-cambrioleur," or "gentleman burglar"/"gentleman thief," when referred to by other people and by himself multiple times.

He's also been called "prince des cambrioleurs"/"prince of burglars" and "le bandit-roi"/"burglar king" once in 813.

One of my favorite things about PeterMJ is Peter is a genius and can deadlift cars and yet he talks and thinks about MJ who’s very normal given the Marvel universe with awestruck affection so often. And like he’s right she is amazing no superpowers required.

Oh for sure. He’s so enamored of her and it’s completely adorable. They have a very sweet and innocent little love and I’ll die if they mess it up.
