Moving on;
"Corporal Levi, we need you to-"
"Get Hanji to do it" The small woman snapped back whilst clipping on the heavy 3DMG gear boxes to her belt.
"Sir..Ma'am...we can't, Majoy Hanji Zoe has..." The cadet recoiled from the angry looking woman.
"Spit it out, I haven't got all day" She swung the corps jacket over her shoulders and slid her arms into it.
"Has passed away on the field of battle..."
A rock clammed down into the pit of Levi's stomach, she almost doubled over when the force of the cadet's response winded her completely. The world zoned out into white noise as her eyes widened; yelling in the background started to phase back in as the reality hit her.
Major Hanji Zoe had been killed in action.
"Bullshit" She stood up straight, a violent look on her face as she clicked two blades into her gear. "That asshat can't die, impossible they live to annoy, wind me up and disgust me on a daily basis"
"Sir" The cadet began before she jettisoned away.
"Shut up you fool and go do something useful" Her parting words as she flew away in complete denial.
A day later the battle was over, her squad were covered in bandages and she was sat at a table alone with tea cup in hand, taking sips at regular intervals. She had been waiting for and hour for the Major to walk in through the door. The door opened on cue and she smiled; of course the shitty glasses wasn't dead. So she began to speak;
"Oi crazy, some idiot said you were dead. I didn't believe them for a second, because you are crazy, stupid but you could never get yourself killed...eh? Hanji" Tears began to work their way down her cheeks as Moblit came it and closed the door. Sitting on the chair close to the diminutive woman.
Neither of them spoke for what seemed an age before finally Moblit spoke up "I wanted to request a position in your squad heichou"
Levi was stunned but didn't knock the man back; she knew right now what it was to be completely and utterly lost "Uh...yeah, request accepted..."
"The major...he...., thankyou Heichou" The man stammered before leaving the room.
"It's nothing Moblit. You're free to go" She paused "Do you have his clips?"
