Would you sleep with yourself if given the opportunity?
"Without even stopping to close the bedroom door first, love, ta-ra."
What is the absolute worst meal you've ever eaten?
"Sadly, one by my own hand. I happened upon a patch of winkles at the seaside and thought I'd make a meal of them, but I'd never prepared them myself before. I neglected to soak them properly so some of them were still full of sand, and I didn't remove all of the hard shells that protect the meat. And yet I worried them all down so my hard work foraging them wouldn't go to waste. False pride indeed!"
On the island, who might you consider flirting with?
"My word, what a question. Flirting's a game with no casualties, though, innit? So anybody's fair game, even people I've no proper intention of bedding. Aurelie, Nick. Likely there'll be others. Flirting's even a way to get on someone's nerves, if you aim it properly. Eh, Harry?"

What are some verbal tics/sayings that your character uses?
Ned uses a lot of these sorts of bland pleasantries, generally after saying something distressing/provocative. He'll over-pronounce words for effect, and put stresses on certain letters/sounds to make it sound more weighty and borderline lascivious. He sounds formal but he's not really! It's just a function of the era he lived in -- he likes slangy words and colloquialisms.
Who on the island is most likely to win the lottery and lose the ticket?
"The funniest answer to this -- and the funniest answer is always the best one -- would be Joaquin. Playing the lottery is a wicked sin in the eyes of the Lord so 'losing' the winning ticket would be nothing more than a suitable penance. He'd likely go through a number of failed attempts to rid himself of the thing. You can all see it playing out in a comedy of errors, can't you?"
@manojoaquin
Uh-oh! All the food and water on the island will be wiped out unless you choose one person to sacrifice to the Heart Tree. It can't be yourself. Who do you choose?
"Nick, in Matthew's name, of course. Surely he wouldn't object to maintaining the Alphonsus line's service to the island, surely not."
@nickalphonsus
Do you see yourself as the hero of the story, or just of your own story? Are you a reluctant hero? Are you a chosen one? Are you a third different type?
"If it's archetypes we're talking about, there's sobriquets that suit me far better than hero, m'duck. One can perhaps be chosen without being a hero. Reckon that's the slot that I fall into -- some mouthpiece of the fates, a Cassandra of sorts, doomed to never be heeded until it's too bloody late."
What's something you would tell your younger self if you could?
"Start snogging men now."
