The Doctor wasn't quite sure how to respond to Amy's words... A flurry of thoughts ran through his head, as if a dam had been destroyed and all hell had broken loose. He didn't know why she didn't love him anymore, or why she wouldn't want to, what he'd done or maybe what he hadn't done- Words evaded him and he wanted to ask details but found his throat tightened as he opened his mouth to speak.

"I'm sorry...." He said after a long silence. He didn't know what he was apologizing for, exactly, but whatever had happened... He truly was sorry, and he wanted to fix it
