The Lalafellan man lowered his bow with a cocky smirk as the last enemy had been slain, “Well, that wasn’t so ba-” But the man was cut off half-way through his sentence when he felt nimble fingers wrap themselves around his small throat and squeeze tight. “You imbecile,” Aster yelled, “Why couldn’t you just listen to what I said?! I said DO NOT start fighting until the others had the beast’s attention! You could’ve nearly gotten yourself killed running in like that! I’m the tactician for a reason,” he continued to yell as he shook the man.

GOD YES. And after we’d all just spent months in mourning. It felt like such an offhanded thing.
Thank you so much! I was agonizing over how best to phrase it, but you nailed it perfectly.
I think in a lot of ways, the entire Ul’dah portion of 3.0′s plot felt too much like a throwaway. The events that transpired there received neither the attention nor the weight they fully deserved, not only because players spent months agonizing over what had happened in 2.55, but because the characters themselves deserved much more than some offhanded closure.
Do I think we’ll be seeing more Ul’dahn political drama in the rest of 3.X? That’s all but guaranteed. But still, what we got in 3.0 was anything but satisfying.
