I've gotta agree with you there. DC has some amazing stories (I reblogged one about Superman talking someone out of suicide not too long ago). Even in the old Teen Titan shows on Cartoon Network which I LOVED, they always told amazing stories. And then of course there's Marvel where there is always AT LEAST one character that you can relate to. I obviously prefer Marvel (you know this because I love Spider-Man), but DC with always have my respect because of their stories.
FUN FACT: that thing you reblogged with superman was actually from All Star Superman, and its the exact part of the story that made All Star Superman one of my most favorite comic book stories of all time. :D
but yeah, im kinda more of a Marvel fan too, cause Deadpool and X-Men and Spider-Man and all those delicious fellows, but Marvel doesnt have as many story arcs that stand out to me cause most of their stuff is good cause of the characters more than the story
thats why i always find it difficult to say whether i like DC or Marvel better, cause honestly, i like them both equally, BUT Marvel was where i started so idk idk I D K
