Considering Atoms
Think about it, the idea is brilliant, flawless, and perfect. It could never fail. Whatever any of the cogs did it would still work cause get this: there is no plan. I couldn’t make this up if I tried. Well, actually I can, ‘cause I did; but I like the expression. Now, you say, how could you achieve this without a plan? Simple, everything that has ever existed is made up of three things, comprising one infinitely bigger thing by comparison, which, again by comparison, is infinitely miniscule compared to us. If your primitive head hasn’t caught up to my drift, we’re talking about atoms. Now what’s the only thing we have that atoms don’t? Nothing, we’re made entirely out of atoms. But that right there is the point. It is inherent to every sucker on this floating rock we call a home that we are made of atoms, so whatever applies to atoms applies to us. Now, I’m gonna get into quantum physics for a second, try not to have an aneurysm. Every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. Confused? You should be that’s regular physics, good ol’ Newton. Quantum physics are basically the dues ex machina of sci-fi films. They make time travel, alternate dimensions and timelines, wormholes, and your mom possible. So, doing a quick distributive property with chaos theory, quantum theory, the second paragraph of the third history paper from your freshman year, and the Pythagorean Theorem; you get the plan. Leave everything alone, and they will come to you. And by you I mean me, sorry I dropped out of that tense for the sake of metaphor only to jump into this pseudo-4th wall break in a 1st person lecture-monologue. Now what you don’t realize that “the least I could do” (we’re still talking about metaphors FYI but we’re also talking about the plan cause I’m about to blow your mind) actually is the most I could do because in the art of wooing women, you only get the bacon when you burn the bridge. But wooing women isn’t it, and you know it. It is so much more big and impressive. We’re talking warping the very premise of grammar for the sole purpose of doing your mom, to cause you to pseudo-be my son, and change American Football forever. Cause why let the cowboys lose when you can control time. And of course whatever happens to atoms happens to you, and whatever they can do so can you. Yes, I see it, the dawning of realization on your face; I see that you finally understand what it is. You understand that since the higgs boson is the god particle, and I have higgs bosons inside of me, I am God. And God decides that the cowboys are gonna win the Super Bowl for the next twenty millennia.
kmarwx: I remember reading somewhere that having multiple players with the same aspect or class is actually a hindrance to a session, do you know if this is the case or not?
To be thorough, I did a little looking around. According to THIS post by homestuckfanadventureanalysis (another Page of Space who analyzes sessions; what are the freaking odds), there is a possibility the Medium can become...confused if more than one player possesses the same aspect in a single session. Perhaps this is where you read about this potential problem?
Personally, I don't think it would be quite such an issue. If two players share an aspect, they will work independently, accessing the same power but in different ways. I don't see how Skaia would find this offensive or warrant penalizing one player or another. That said, with some cases it can be confusing. If there are two heroes of Space in a single session, would there be more than one Land of X and Frogs? If so, do both players have a working Forge and are they both capable of breeding a Genesis Frog? Questions like these delve into a realm of possibility that is uncommon to really need to address. The Medium knows when multiple players with a single aspect are going to enter. It will have always known. If any imbalance were to occur from this, I think Skaia would make allowances for it in advance. In the example of the dual Space players, perhaps one Forge is destined to fail to light, or maybe the unique session is designed to create two universes!
So, short answer: No, I don't think it's a problem. It's just really uncommon and denotes a rather unique session. The only downside you might get is a lack of diversity in the party.
hello im elffa and everybody reading this is a hella dweeb yo
hella.
Top 5 Robot Masters?
HECK YEAH
Quickman
Protoman
Shadowman
Fireman
Elecman
thats actually hard cause i like so many of them for so many different reasons but i think these are my most favorites
ive had an obsession with quickman since like 2005 tho, no lie
kmarwx reblogged your post:I will create a mii of one of the protomen just so...
send him to europe first
if you give them a travel ticket it randomly sends them somewhere but if you give them enough pocket money they definitely go to space so lbrh, i'm sending him to space
Another real quick question, once something is prototyped, is it possible to remove said object from the sprite any other way than via time travel, or would you need to go back in time similar to what Dave did?
yeah time travel is all you can really do :0
Are there any specific requirements regarding a session's scratch construct other than using Echidna's quills or some other object to damage it enough, or is damaging it with said object enough to cause a scratch?
nah not really, damaging it a little bit is all that's necessary it seems! the exact requirements probably change a little bit from construct to construct though
