Nancy was used to getting up early, she had always been an early riser, even when her and Steve moved in together, and had a baby. She pulled back the covers and went to climb out of bed when Steve grabbed her, and pulled her back.

She laughed. "Steve, the baby will be up soon." She chuckled.

But she didn't resist it. She flopped back onto the bed, and turned to face him, laying on her side and looking into his eyes. "You look like you have a sneaky plan in your head." She teased lightly as she lift a hand and stroked his cheek, leaning in to give him a quick kiss.

[  WEDDING  ]:     as they prepare to exchange wedding vows, sender gazes at the receiver and says “i love you” for the last time as an unmarried couple. //steve @ nancy

Nancy didn't want anything big. She just wanted something simple, romantic, with those they cared about present.

So here they were, standing outside, surrounded by loved ones, as she lift her hands and placed them in his.

This was it. She was about to share her vows with him, and he with her, and then she would be Nancy Harrington.

She squeezed his hands lightly and lift her gaze to look into his eyes, and as soon as the words left his lips, a huge smile spread across her lips, and a tear of pure joy ran down her cheek

"I promised myself I wouldn't cry." She said softly, and shook her head a little.

Nancy hadn't been sleeping great for days. She felt so responsible for everything, even though none of this crap was her fault. Still, she had to protect her family... her brothers friends... it was like the weight of the world was on her shoulders.

She knew she wasn't alone in bearing the weight, but that didn't make it any easier, not when they knew what was coming, and that they had no idea how to defeat it.

No plan would be able to be laid down, which really played on the organised woman, so she had to at least make some idea in her head for all kinds of situations.

She lift her head as soon as she heard the voice, a weak smile gracing her lips. She couldn't actually remember the last time she had full nights sleep.

"Thanks Scarlett." She breathed softly and sighed "I just wish I knew what to do. I hate going in to this completely exposed and with no plan."

The curly haired brunette was taken by surprise when Billy came up behind her and whispered that too her. She rose a brow and turned her head a little.

"All day huh?" She asked. "Did I make that much of an impression on you Hargrove?" She whispered back.

"So... what have you been thinking about exactly?" She then asked, turning to face him.

Nancy rolled her eyes at Billys comment "Is this your idea of dirty talk?" She asked. "Just shut up and kiss me." She told him, pulling him close and crushing her lips to his.

She was pretty sure she was already ruined. Damaged beyond repair. But not because of him. No. Because of what was happening in Hawkins.

"I am sure you can do better at turning me on." She teased lightly, pushing her fingers into his curls. Damn it. She really was an idiot, starting something with his man.

The curl haired brunette looked at Steve, her eyes sore, the big bags under them were the tell tale sign of no sleep.

"I'm fine." She lied to Steve, lifting a hand and rubbing at her eyes. She knew he would be able to tell she was lying, so she sighed. "Ok... maybe... only a few hours the last 4-5 days." She said.

"I just... have so much to concentrate on, and not to mention over thinking everything thats happening right now, I just... can't relax enough to sleep." She admitted, as she looked at him.

Nancy looked at Billy and honestly, part of her was still unsure why she was staying. She should of gone.

"Well... I felt I couldn't leave you alone." She said softly, her eyes on his, wondering if she was making the right choice.

"Why..... why did you want me to stay?" She then asked him, wondering if he would tell her the truth. "What is it you want me to stay for Billy?"

Nancy looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile. "To be honest El. We all do here." She said. "But you know what... thats why we're all so close. You, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, Steve, Jon, Erica... me... Cause we're outsiders.... but we're outsiders together." She told her.

"You shouldn't worry about trying to fit in. Theres nothing special about trying to fit in." She then smiled at her, offering her a hand, and squeezing it lightly. "And we all know that you are special, so its best that you don't fit in." She told hr comfortingly.
