Shadow's feelings on humanity are strongly mixed. At one time he loathed man kind which is a feeling that hasn't entirely gone away, though it is at a lesser extent now. He's aware that not all humans will hate him and he will help them because Maria told him it was the right thing to do above all else.Regardless, there is still a huge part of him that does not like the humans of Earth, he's usually quick to judge them as inferior in the same way they've judged him. Truthfully, though his bane for them comes more from fear then it does from the feeling of superiority. His first encounter with human kind outside of a small group of researchers, Gerald and Maria, was a horrible one and it has left an ever lasting scar on Shadow and his feelings towards humans as a group. Generally he feels paranoid and distrusting because he feels like no matter what good he does, its all too likely that the humans (collective) will turn on him whenever they like because of what he is. He's not just a mobian but his existence was due to artificial means and unfortunately, Shadow has learnt that this has him easily seen as a tool to be used and discarded as need be. Never the less, as much as Shadow dislikes humans as a collective his hate can be pretty bias as most of Shadow's dislike and what comes to mind for him when he thinks about 'humans' and how much he doesn't like them, he thinks about men. Women, children and the elderly don't bother Shadow near as much, specially as individuals. This is because the majority of people who hurt him, in all imaginable ways, were soldiers, all young adult males. Shadow is very alike his animal cousins in this way as his hate and fear is mostly directed towards a particular group of humans while he can be pretty okay with others. ((Example: when my cat was a kitten it was terrorized by the little grandaughter of the woman who owned him. Its been 3 years and he still can't stand and wont be around little girls. He hates them. But he loves me and he's pretty okay with everyone else. I think Shadow is like my cat in a lot of ways haha.))
