"The most about each of you? Oh, well, I’ve certainly been put on the spot here, but let me think." Gale rubbed his beard in thought before gesturing toward Shadowheart.
"For you, it’s rather easy. I admire your care, your skill as a cleric, your devotion to your cause—and, of course, your impeccable taste in wine." He flashed her a warm smile before turning his attention to the rest.
"Wyll—now, there’s a man of unwavering principle. Even in the face of torment, he chose the right path, sparing Karlach when lesser men would have caved. He stood strong, valiant in the face of a devil, and that, I believe, speaks to the very heart of who he is."
He glanced over his shoulder, making sure there were no ears to overhear. "Ah, Lae’zel. I have never met anyone with a stronger will—or a stronger fighting stance, for that matter. But what I admire most? Beneath all the training, despite years of being told that anyone not Githyanki is nothing more than an insect to be crushed, she doesn’t truly see us that way. She questions. She learns. She adapts. That, I think, is the greatest source of her strength."
"Now, Karlach—an easy one! She’s got a fiery spirit, pun fully intended," he chuckled at his own joke. "But what truly sets her apart is how, despite the awful burden she carries, she still finds joy in the world. She smiles, she laughs, she sees beauty even in the bleakest places. That’s something to admire—I ought to follow her lead more often."
Finally, he turned his thoughts to Astarion, tilting his head in contemplation. "And then... Astarion. Hmm." A pause before nodding to himself. "His mental fortitude. He was a vampire spawn for what—two centuries? I have never read of a vampire lord who was kind, least of all to their spawn. I do not know the full extent of what he endured under his master, but the fact that he is still here, still himself, tells me everything I need to know. That takes a strength unlike any other."
what burns within your chest?
Your heart can never hold still. It pounds against your chest frantically, always turning your sights to one thing after the next. When was the last time you were certain? The last time your life was stable? Maybe this is how you prefer things. On the move constantly, not tied down to one person or place. You chase one goal after the next. Can you ever really feel complete without a place to land? Shouldn’t you build yourself a nest?

everyone thinks you're very melodramatic because you never miss an opportunity to break out in lengthy monologues about everything that is wrong with the society. but you are deeply misunderstood. the world has scarred you and now you're simply trying to get even. the hero says you go too far in trying to achieve that and so they conclude that you must be stopped. just because you killed a few people. you have a perfectly logical reason for that. the hero would actually see your point if they stopped being a sanctimonious asshole for once and would just hear you out. or maybe you're actually wrong somewhat.... you'll think about it later

What is one thing you like about each of us companions? (Gale, Karlach, Lae'zel, Wyll, myself) 🍷
The question catches him off guard. While his outward demeanor towards the group may seem sarcastic and at times surly he does somewhat enjoy their company.
"Really now? Are you so starved for adoration you must know what I think?", he muses as he sets his book down.
"Gods give me strength I suppose I shall indulge you."
"Nothing, there is nothing I like about Gale", he says thought its a lie, but would he really be entertaining her with answers if he didn't start like that?
"Gods.... I suppose his usefulness with magic. He's also knowledgeable in just about everything, I mean he never shuts up. And then there's the fact that he can cook which despite my inability to partake the aroma does seem plesant.
Karlach, well... look at her! By gods they're glorious and well I'd much rather have them around in a pinch. They're glorious in battle, I feel safer with them around.
Lae'zel... ugh, you know I could do with out, what with her hatred of just about everything not Githyanki. Don't get me wrong she is a fine warrior but I've got Karlach to hide behind though I suppose in a battle I wouldn't mind having Lae'zel with us", he pauses.
It was hard for him to find honest words to compliment what he enjoyed about their mottled little group. He didn't want to just flat out say that he enjoyed them all! That he found himself safe within their company.
"As for Wyll, our dear Blade I suppose his unwavering loyalty and need to do good. He's brave and just, he's a good man albeit a bit arrogant in his need for doing good.
As for you our dear darling Shadowheart", he smirks.
"I suppose it is your devout faith. I do enjoy how blindly devout you are to your dark lady. Then there is your wit, I can always count on you to share an enjoyable word or two. You're an incredible cleric, and gods knows what with Gale's uselessness in battle we need someone to cover our asses with healing. But if I'm being truly honest I do enjoy your company the most".
