*As Kate was working on a Gen in the middle of a trial, she hears some soft footsteps making their way to her. Thinking it was likely a survivor she calls out "Can ya lend a hand?" in a Hushed tone. But instead of a survivor a small being in a white sheet, resembling a ghost pokes it's head around the corner. The being somewhat hurries up to Kate and holds out a pumpkin pail of candy. "Treat or Trick. Take two please friend." The ghost says in a hushed tone as to not alert the killer.* *Whether Kate accept it instantly or refused the small ghost didn't leave till she took two piece of candy. "Happy Hulloween." The being says in a hushed tone once more before hurrying out of sight.* @ask-simon-the-shadow

Kate hadn't realized that Simon was dressing up! And the little ghost costume he wore was absolutely adorable! Complete with the pail, it reminded her of those little trick or treat pails they would give out at fast food places when she was a kid. All in all, it was a nice trip down memory lane.

"Good luck finding the others to gift them treats with!"

*As Kate was walking back to the survivor campfire, post trial, she spots something dark and small sitting in the middle of the dirt path ahead. Approaching she finds it to be a small shadow like creature with two legs and two seemingly glowing white "eyes". She stops a few yards from the creature in case it was a trick from the Entity. The small shadow creature soon notices Kate and stands up.* *The small thing walks up to Kate slowly and sees that it couldn't be more than a foot or so tall. The creature stands a foot away before looking up at the survivor. It stands there for what felt like a minute staring at her before finally speaking with a somewhat loud voice* "... Hello! My name is Simon, Simon Speaks for the crows." @ask-simon-the-shadow

Chriiiiist that trial was a doozy, and all Kate wanted to do was to curl up in front of the fire and forget about it. At first she thought she was hearing things, but realized it came from the small figure in front of her.

"Simon, huh?" Kate knelt down so she wasn't quite so tall to him.

"Good thing. Not all of us can speak t' the crows. They do need a voice. What can I do for ya?"

*As Kate returns to the survivor campfire she finds a nearly packaged present sitting by one of the logs for sitting upon, it was also near her guitar so one could guess it was meant for her.*

*Opening the present Kate would find two gifts inside. The first one Kate finds a new set of guitar strings. The second gift was a new pair of leather boots seemingly just Kates size. They both had designed of music notes all over. Inside one of them was a note.*

"Merry Christmas -Santa Simon"

The guitar strings were an absolute blessing! Maybe she could get the old guitar to keep a tune if she restrung it! That was something she looked forward to. Yet the second gift gave her a pause, and she found herself sinking down to sit on the log.

Boots. New boots that were cute. Her fingers traced over the neat stitching and the notes on them. Who had -- ah, there it was. She found the note inside the boot, eyes skimming it over.

When she saw that it was from Max and Simon, she grinned. No, she wouldn't throw these boots. Christ, she knew she'd never get them back if she did.

Shame, she didn't get to see Max dressed up like an elf. Nor Simon as Santa -- at least she assumed the little shadow was dressed up like Saint Nick. That would have been adorable.
