Alright, assuming you installed the disc the tablet came with (which was the driver) I think pressure sensitivity should be good to go, all you gotta do is this:

WAY easier than a mouse. The tablet active area basically acts like a smaller version of your screen. It doesn't function like a mouse where you have to scroll. (if that makes sense) Once you get used to it, it's easier than paper, I'd say (mostly because you can erase and use LAYERS).
