As he watched Wesley crawl across the tent to the entrance Lefèvre briefly considered explaining their surroundings but quickly discarded the thought when time came to mind. He wasn’t sure where exactly his double had come from or where he’d been living but the fact that Wesley seemed so calm and chipper was like a giant neon sign that told other survivors how new he was to the island. It would take days to explain, hours to sink in, and months to train. The mime rubbed his face then let out a sigh as he got on all fours and began following the other out of the tent. They could work on that later, right now they had to at least leave the tent. If Wesley didn’t die within the first day he’d be majorly impressed. As soon as Lefèvre got to the entrance the other man grabbed onto his arm and yanked him back inside the tent. On reflex, Lefèvre reached around and coiled his fingers into a fist, the startled look on his double’s face just barely keeping him from punching him. The mime lowered his fist then cocked an eyebrow in confusion.

“There’s a thing out there.” Wesley whispered. He chose to skip over the fact that Lefèvre had almost knocked out his teeth then took hold of his shoulder, guiding the mime next to his position at the entrance of the tent. The man took in a breath then cautiously opened the flap of the tent just wide enough for him to peek out. Sure enough, there was a short, fuzzy, black colored... thing leisurely walking into the camp. Truthfully it wasn’t their camp, it could’ve easily been the thing’s. The thought of trespassing in a monster’s camp made Wesley shudder. With a light shove he moved his double to the side to get a better peek outside. In a panicked flurry of movement Wesley immediately shut the tent again then rapidly crawled to the other side of the tent. It saw him. Maybe. It moved its head in his direction and that was enough to get his adrenalin pumping. In response to the confused look Lefèvre gave him he managed to get out a choked, “I think it’s coming this way.” Upon hearing that the long-haired double’s expression instantly morphed into something far more serious and his attention fixed to the flap of the tent like a cat’s did when something moved in the underbrush. It was terrifying to look at, Wesley never knew he or anybody that looked like him could ever seem so intense. He was just about to speak again when a small crunch of a twig could be heard outside. As Lefèvre took out his sharpened razor and joined Wesley at the edge of the tent, Wesley gnawed on his lip and braced himself for whatever was coming.

I usually do if I don’t have a game grumps rerun on. I find it easier to write when it’s not completely silent.

There’s not really a specific kind, though I usually would listen to Owl City or Coldplay just because they’re my two favorite artists
