Admin Devlyn: What's up? Something bothering you?

Yoosung: Well.. it's just that, after all the birthday gifts I've received, I kind of feel bad that we're only able to return the efforts of 3 person...

Admin Devlyn: Well that's how competition works after all, as judges it is a painful decision to pick only a few out of so many lovely ones.

Yoosung: *pouts* There must be some way we could make the others happy too...

Admin Devlyn: Aww... Why are you so precious ;w; *commence glomp*

It’s My Birthday and I’ll Cry if I Want To

Short and sweet for Yoosung’s birthday! Uh, Yooran of course!

Yoousung pouted. He knew he shouldn’t feel this way, but he couldn’t help it. He told himself that Saeran was doing the best he could, but it still hurt. The RFA had thrown a party for him at the twin’s house, inviting his family and some of his LOLOL friends. It was great, except for the fact that Saeran had hidden in his room for most of the night. He was fine in the beginning, but Yoosung’s family had overwhelmed him. Yoosung had tried to make them stop peppering him with questions, but they had not listened for very long. The final straw had been when his sister had squeezed Saeran’s cheeks between her hands. His eyes had gone wide and as soon as she turned away, he bolted.

Yoosung tried to get him back out, but he was adamant that he needed time alone. That was four hours ago. Saeyoung had gone in but had shaken his head when he came back out. Yoosung was no longer enjoying his night. And he felt guilty. Guilty for being upset with Saeran, guilty for not enjoying the party, guilty for wanting to hide in the corner and be left alone. He tried to keep a smile on his face. But it was slipping away little by little and he could tell they weren’t buying it anymore.

Someone changed the music into something slower and dimmed the lights. The area became hushed as those around him turned and walked away. His sister and MC gave him a knowing smile then giggled like school girls. The lights of the swimming pool were turned on and they danced on the water. Yoousung was perplexed, they’d already brought out the cake, he’d already opened his gifts, what else was there to do? Saeyoung clapped him on the back and took the drink he was holding and walked away with it.

“Hey! I wasn’t done with…” he turned, following Saeyoung’s back. At the back door, standing just in front, was Saeran. He wore a white suit with a pink dress shirt and a mint green tie. Yoosung had worked hard on making that color something Saeran could love and not hate. His shoes were a polished black and his hair was slicked back, away from his eyes. A style Yoosung particularly liked as it allowed him to see Saeran’s eyes better. There was a soft smile on his lips and he looked completely relaxed. Yoosung forgot there was anyone else around, his vision filled only with this man. The one and only person he had ever given his heart to. He felt tears stinging his eyes and he blinked rapidly, trying to keep them at bay.

Saeran walked towards him and held out his hand. Yoosung took it and he was quickly enfolded into Saeran’s arms as they began to sway to the music.

“You know you don’t have to hold back your tears.” He whispered.

Yoosung sighed and closed his eyes, shaking his head.

“Hey, your vulnerability is one of the things I love about you Yoosung. How you can be so strong when you seem to have a huge amount of empathy is beyond me.”

“It’s not strength. It’s weakness, everyone knows that.” Yoosung sniffed, trying to hide against Saeran’s shouler.

“Don’t be ridiculous. If it wasn’t for you, if…you hadn’t made me feel like I mattered…” it was Saeran’s turn to shake his head, “I might never have gotten as far as I have. I’m sorry babe. I’m sorry that I can’t be stronger when you need me to be. I’m sorry I can’t be there for you when you’re alone. I want to, you know I do.” He choked on his own tears.

“I know! Shhh, don’t cry! You’re there when it matters, when it counts! And I know you love me, no matter what!” his hands laced behind Saeran’s neck and they exchanged a wet, salty kiss.

“Happy Birthday Beautiful.” Saeran whispered, their foreheads together.

“Best present ever!” Yoosung sighed.

They never noticed the rest of the party guests leaving silently, letting them have this moment alone, together.
