Tenka-sama! How are you feeling about HQ ending?

So sudden it's like a rug being swept out from under me... and lonely ... I probably don't speak for just myself when I say this story has really helped me become a better person and get through some hard times in life, now it's ending and?? i think all good things should end somewhere, so it makes sense and it has to be for the best but. I feel like I'm left behind, somehow. Ahhhh.

Hi Tenka-sama, what slice of life animes do you recommend?

hey hey! i made a old list (here), but i’ve since seen a few more! let’s see, in no particular order:  -  Asobi Asobase - FUNNY ASF, all-girls cast, not gross sexualised but really really funny, i got abs from laughing at this  - Non non biyori - cute, funny, almost all-girls cast  not gross sexualised, there is a cute asf tanuki that is kept as a pseudo-pet of a seven year old with dead-fish eyes lmao and the jokes just keep coming    -  A place further than the universe, about going to Antarctica! pretty much all-girls cast, not gross sexualised, wholesome friendship feels-ey  - Kaguya Sama wa Kokurasetai (Kaguya sama wants to be confessed to / love is war) , game of confession chicken when VP and Prez of the student council have huge crush on each other but it’s like two dumbasses in a game of chicken, chaotic tsundere energy 

- Hinamatsuri -  tobikko-obsessed psychic girl adopts yakuza dad.  - Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid - okay legit this looks like a trashy show but IT’S ACTUALLY REALLY WHOLESOME and funny, overall i do recommend!!!  

- Eizouken ni te wo dasu na (keep your hands off eizouken) - three girls who wanna make ANIMATION, you got two artists one money maker and the three of them do really awesome stuff and it’s a meta asf show about the animation industry / life of an animator. Incredible art and style and story!! woah!

Ah yes, agree!!! Animation style is cute and it's suuuuper chill because the mc is so listless if he were a MMORPG character he would have a vitality stat of like 2.... Out of 500.... Seconding Anon's rec!!

Would you ever consider doing translations still for certain panels of big moments in Haikyuu? I always read both MS and official and your translations were always a lot better for moments with “poetic” language like the “even as I tear apart their wings with my own two hands “ line. With Haikyuu ending so soon I’m just so sad we are missing out on best possible translations for the big moments

Of course! It would depend on whether or not I can access the original raws though, I will do some research, maybe I can sub to WSJ Japan (?) or maybe I’ll just buy the tankos outright when they come out (I’m hesitant a bit to buy all the tankos because my bookshelf is kind of full rn and I’m the only one in my house that will read stuff in Japanese so I can’t share the love ahh ). The other consideration is how I’ll share any translations, maybe twitter, tumblr, something else? It is a bit of a time commitment because to translate one line, I’ll definitely read the entire chapter to be able to feel it, but your message means a lot to me and if people think that it is something worth doing then I’ll definitely consider!! BIG THANKS ahh. I really enjoyed putting thought into all the big OOF moments because I WANTED EVERYONE ELSE TO FEEL WHAT I FELT WHEN I READ IT ;0;, or else it’s a bit lonely not being able to screm about the chapter with the fandom (I think with official scans, the translators are paid by character count or something so it’s more speed over putting a lot of time into thinking about feels and nuance, I just did translations for fun because I loved the series so I think I probably had more motivation there to make sure people were feeling what the original raws wanted people to feel gah)
