This is a reminder to myself to never EVER go drinking with Beleren again.
Elspeth you are about to get your memories erased of the events. Whatever you do, no not go near the Boros Garrison in the 8th district near Gruul territory again.
Just don't.
I know you are curious. But DO NOT.

From Alessa’s “research” journal, volume 7, part 1Planeswalker Record #1Name: Jace BelerenAppearance: Messy dark hair, semi-light eyesHome plane: UnknownMagical Preference: Mind magic, small summons, illusions-the first part is written in faded black ink, barely visible-Forgive me if I seem biased on this entry, as I have a certain fondness for Mr.Beleren that I think arises from my desire to be at least half the mage he is. Some call it jealousy. Perhaps I just am curious of his abilities. It is unclear even to me, so excuse me if my thoughts are jumbled. While his company is something to be enjoyed for various reasons, he always seems to be planning out everything he possibly can. At least three back-up plans to the back-up plans, if you will. Understandably uncertain of my motives on our first meeting.Perhaps in time some kind of partnership can/may unfold.Although I doubt it, since my skills of getting myself into trouble and making things worse than they seeming my attempts to fix them foils even the best of ideas.-added much later, in a darker text-Due to current developments I cannot Things are--the text stops suddenly, more lines scratched out and it looks like ink was spilled on it as if the well was knocked over for some reason-
"Follow me into that bedroom and I'll be adept at giving you memories." *wiggles eyebrows*
"Shut up, Beleren before I make you," she sneered. Despite her expression, she turned her head to hide her reddening cheeks, noticeable tongues of flame flickered around her ears.
Creep, Part 2
((PART 1. Read it first.))
Shuichi stayed on his knees, afraid to look back up. The two bodies would still be there. Hanging from the trees by shimmering magical nooses. But the despair was too great, and the Elder gazed upon the corpses. "What have I done? Why am I being punished?" he gasped. The lifeless faces offered no response. "Who did this to you? How...how did this happen?"
On the right, hung Shuichi's former student, Sasara. His brilliant student, killed during the Kami War. A death that he was unable to prevent. And to the left of her, the thief, Alessa. One he wanted to help. One who he worried about. Who could have done this to her?
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DID. WHAT WE ALL DID.
A voice boomed in his head, sending the shaman reeling back. Under the hanging corpses, a figure flickered into view. This was not the one from before. The clothes were familiar, a shade of blue. Scrambling back on his hands and knees, Shuichi realized that Jace Beleren had appeared before him. But something was wrong. The planeswalker's hood was up, and there was no face visible. It was not in shadow. There was only an emptiness.
"Jace-san, what is happening!? Who killed her!?" But the mage stayed silent. A grim realization hit Shuichi. "You. You did this..." The orochi's eyes began to well with tears. "What did she do to deserve this? And Sasara? My student? How dare you conjure an illusion of her!"
A soft, familiar voice broke into the Elder's cries. "That is quite enough."
The voice was cold. Shuichi turned to where it came from, behind him. "Tamiyo-san?"
But before he could even see if it was truly her, an explosive pain filled his mind. His vision blurred into darkness and images flew through his head. Rotting plants. A mass of scaled flesh. Eyes larger than the sun. A ghostly pale moon. Withered minds. Eight powerful heads. Towering spires.
He felt enclosed, captured. He was trapped, and unable to move. The grotesque rush of images melded together into a silvery film. The prison. It was speaking to the Elder. Screaming. Shouting. Crying.
As suddenly as it all began, it ended. The forest came into dull view. Two silhouettes towered above his curled frame. They spoke words foreign to his ears. The figures began to glow. The Elder braced himself for the worst.
And the world exploded before him.
---
He awoke, not with a shout. Not with a violent shudder. But slowly, remembering every detail of the nightmare. The shaman massaged his eyes. This was the worst they had gotten. Something had to be done.
The orb. The "prison." It had to be destroyed.
