It had been awhile since David had a hands-on kind of activity, so when asked if he’d help out, he was more than happy to jump aboard. Plus, he tried to take just about any chance he could to hang out with his friends. They all had pretty busy lives these days! And while he knew Robin would be bringing refreshments of sorts, he brought along the means of potentially making a fire to cook something good on. Who knew how long they’d be working on whatever they were rounded for? “Hey, Archie!” A wide smile took over his face as he moved to clasp his hand on the man’s shoulder, offering a gentle squeeze. “How have you been?” He took a moment to look in his friend’s direction before turning back to the other men. “I’m not entirely sure what’s going down today, but I have a good feeling about it.”
Why had none of his friends explained just how much he’d want to take a nap in the middle of the day when he was on daddy duty? Thankfully enough, he was only on the hook for the morning, as schedules were worked out so he could help out his best mate. And of course, it had been a little while since they all had hung out together. “I’m not entirely sure what’s on today’s agenda, but I feel as though I’ve gotten my second wind… I’m raring to go.” He pulled his signature flask from below his jacket and chuckled, taking a swig. “I’m not too sure how much help I’ll be with some things, if I’m being honest, but I’ve got a hand and a hook… I’d like to think that can get me pretty far.” A simple nod was given before he looked in Robin’s direction. “What exactly are we doing out here?”
With the merging of realms it was quite hard to find time to spend alone with anyone. Families were gathered together to settle into new realities and some taking on rather important duties. To have a day with his mates was a rare treat Robin would feast on without abandon. Boots crunched dried leaves as they entered the clearing to alert the others of his presence. “Hey! You all made it.” Eyes went to the coffee in Archies hand before his body instantly moved to take one with great thanks. “Better caffeinated before we dehydrate.” The ice box slung on his arm help a bottle of liquor and some different ales to keep them all in spirits as the project went on. “Over there is a pile of lumber and other objects we need to build this.” The paper depicting the Tinkerbell fairy house tree house was handed over for the men to gaze upon. “I figure Hope and future other little ones needed a fun place to play and what better than fairy escape?” The green fairy had led Regina to him which had him favor this particular design. “I figure we can build it a bit higher off the group to prevent some critters getting inside.” The ice box was sat down as a chest of tools pulled from beside the stack of lumber. “I”m not entire certain what all these things are but I’m told everything we need is in here.”
Passing out the remaining coffees, Archie placed the cardboard holder on the forest floor and placed his suit jacket over it. Insuring he would remember to throw it out properly. Archie felt his eyebrows shoot up at the mention of alcohol and carpentry. Unafraid of being a buzz-kill he chimed in "We should make sure to limit ourselves to one drink, especially if we are handling sharp tools." Archie said this know full well he intended to abstain from drinking, as was normal for him. Looking over David's shoulder he looked at the schematics, impressed with the design. He was familiar with wood working from watching Geppetto growing up, also from occasionally assisting Marco in his shop, though he hadn't attempted something as ambitious as this. "This is a well done design, we should probably make a list of lumber lengths, right?"
