The day of the Manitou Springs Halloween Ball had finally arrived. Emma had been looking forward to the event for the last few weeks. However, due more disappearances over the last several days, Emma’s interests at hand changed course. Not only did she take a pregnancy test in secret that morning and saw the positive result, Emma also decided to go even further with her investigation. Her thoughts were all over the place with her happy news and that of the disappearances that she forgot to hide the test on her way of out of the house.

After several hours investigating at the scene where the last person who had disappeared was seen, Emma made a quick stop on the way home where she bought a onesie and baby socks to announce her pregnancy to Robert with just enough time to get ready for the ball. Smiling as she parked the car and walked inside, Emma couldn’t help but feel guilty for being so joyful when darkness hung over the town. Still, she couldn’t stop smiling, and hoped that Robert would feel the same. “Robert?! Are you around? I have a surprise for you in the kitchen.” Emma placed the gift bag on the counter before pacing back and forth.

Oh yes, I see that this is in fact very anonymous. Well anonymous grey face, I do in fact have a terribly handsome husband who is terrible at hiding his affections of me.

I see. You didn't need to get us anything, but I appreciate the gesture. Perhaps you and Miri, and Gracie, would care to join us for dinner one evening, and you could bring said gift along?

Well... I just had a little fight with Miri, but we’re okay now. As usual, I was being a complete idiot. So what else is new, right? Anyway, I just need to be absolutely sure about something considering the current circumstances. I wouldn’t be able to sleep a wink unless I do this one thing.

It was time to venture towards the stream to fill the basins pulled from wreckage with water to boil. The sun blaring down was making it difficult to keep people hydrated while they worked to make this island a temporary home. Robin gazed down at the bins and wondered if he could rope someone into helping. It would make less trips. Blue eyes gazed around until they happened to catch a man looking his way. A wave was offered as the distance between them closed. “Hey! I’m Robin.” Days were spent pulling everything he could from crash sites, helping building shelters and tending to the wounded Regina couldn’t get to which didn’t leave much time for small talk just yet. “Do you mind giving me a hand fetching water?”
