Your blog is so perfect. I love the creative twist of making Katherine human and older. I can honestly say I stalk your blog so this means a lot to me.

“And you’re right I had no right to cure you. As you had no right to try to kill me. Don’t you get it Katherine. It’s a never ending cycle of you had no right with us.”

Marianas Trench - Beside You -
1864 was such a tough year. One she didn't want to remember. One she would rather watch burn in a house fire but she wasn't and would never be given that chance but the young vampire couldn't help but get lost in the memories of it as she stared out at the falls, leaning against the guard railing, her mind taking her to a whole different era and a world most people didn't know existed.
When your tears are spent on your last pretenseAnd your tired eyes refuse to close and sleep in your defense. When it's in your spine and you've walked for milesAnd the only thing you want is just to be still for awhile.
The town was bustling with people on foot, in carriages and on horseback. The sun was shining brilliantly in the slightly cloudy sky, warming the grass below her feet. A smile was etched on her lips, her dress was caught in her hands, the trees blew in the gentle breeze that danced with her curls as she ran, dancing in and out of trees. A laugh, full of happiness and musical melody was echoing around her as the leaves crunched below her. "Anna!" A voice called from behind carried on their own burst of laughter. The young girl came to a stop, her back against the trunk of a tall tree, her chocolate hues shining in the light. The other girl, the older of the two stopped in front of her, her own chocolate gaze on the other. "Let us sit and be still." And with those words, Anna knew of the stories she was about to be told.
If your heart wears thin, I will hold you upAnd I will hide you when it gets too much.I'll be right beside you.
She had done it. Got them both to eat out of the palm of her hand just like she had said she would do. She was toying with them. Making them both believe that she was only theres. She was like the snake in the garden of Eden, tempting them to eat the apple from the beautiful tree. Anna's fists gripped at her sides at the thought. She had been pacing her room all day and refused to come out. What Katherine was doing to the two was unfair. Was not lady-like and was practically against everything not only Anna had taught herself, but what her mother, Pearl, had taught her. Love wasn't something to toy around with. It was delicate and easy to break. A knock sounded through the room then, shattering into her thoughts. "What?" Her voice was cold as her feet came to a stop. "Anna, it's Katherine. May I come in?" She questioned, her voice was ever so soft and sweet as a sigh escaped the youngers lips whilst she opened the door. "You're mother and Emily have told me everything. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, Annabelle but please understand, my love for you will never change, no matter how badly I mess those two brothers up."
When you're overwhelmed and you've lost your breath,When the space between the things you know is blurry nonetheless. When you try to speak but you make no sound,And the words you want are out of reach but they've never been so loud.
Months had passed and things had only gotten worse. The town council was acting funny. The brothers were slowly catching on to Katherine's little mind game and Anna was becoming more jealous, despite she would never actually admit it, about Katherine spending more time with the Salvatores than her. She thought back, remembering when Katherine would run through the forest with her without a care but things were different now. Feelings had been created and the brothers lusted for her and her beauty while Anna sat in the back burner and spent most of her days reading or with Emily now. She wanted to scream. To let everyone know the anger going through her when she saw Pierce girl with the Salvatore boys. She wanted to kill both of them but she couldn't. Instead, she snuck out late one night, to the barn where Stefan kept his and Katherine's carriages. She looked around as her eyes landed on the lantern, blurring to make sure the horses had escaped before setting the place ablaze, blurring out of the scene and almost praying Katherine would understand as she hid behind a tree, only to watch as the town came alive to was the burning flames.
If your heart wears thin, I will hold you upAnd I will hide you when it gets too much.I'll be right beside you.I will stay. Nobody will break you.
Then it happened. That fateful night where the town council had come alive and had decided it was time. Time to destroy all the vampires that had infested their town. They had known about the vervain for weeks now and were careful to make it unnoticable but now, it was too late and Pearl was on her way to warn Katherine only to run into him. Jonathan Gilbert. Anna had watched the whole thing. She watched what happened to her mother as she went to scream out but was stopped by Emily. She promised Anna she'd see Pearl again and the night was longer than any she had ever lived through but when she awoke the next morning there was a note next to her from none other than Katherine.
Trust in me, don't pull away.Trust in me.I'm just trying to keep this together,Because I could do worse and you could do better.
