“So, what’s a ‘joy-maker’ Pokemon? I’ve never heard of them before!”
Taffy: Well, that’s the basic gist of it at least. Zipp explains this stuff better than I can, but she seems busy right now.
*Taffy glances over to her two friends, who both seem to be busy interacting with others as well.*
Taffy: So I’ll just do my best to explain it! Do ya know the legend of Jirachi? A Pokemon who spends a week traveling the universe granting one wish of every Pokemon they come across?
Were you ever curious about what happens when that week is up? Well, they usually fall asleep on the last planet they’re on, but before that they search the planet for those who are wishing for something with all their heart. They offer those Pokemon a chance to become Joymaker Pokemon!
Granting wishes apparently takes a LOT of a Jirachi’s power and that’s why they have to sleep for so long. Now, a Jirachi doesn’t wanna leave anyone’s wish unfulfilled, so it needs to collect as much wishing power as it can. That’s where we come in! Jirachi blesses us a piece of their power that grows every time we bring joy to someone! Then when they wake up in a thousand years, we give them our energy!
… now this does mean that we pass on, but we’ve already lived over a thousand years and get to do more than what most Pokemon get to. Lady Asha, our Jirachi, even promised to grant us a REALLY big wish if we want!

*Taffy went searching in the pile of rubble that she had made while building the nest. After a moment, she came out triumphantly holding an old and worn out book.*
