Hey, boys! I need to ask, what's your opinion on Fire by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown?

Osomatsu: Look. I don’t care who you are or what you’re into. You gotta respect a guy who sets his head on fire.

Karamatsu: Indeed, the theatricality of it all! I suggested emulating his performance, but alas -

Choromatsu: No pyrotechnics. Ever. There’s just. Too much liability! The song’s got a good hook, but does he need to do all that fire stuff?

Ichimatsu: … I like it.

Jyushimatsu: Pyrotechnics!!! Pyrotechnics!!!

Choromatsu: I said no.

Todomatsu: I’m saying no, too! I’m not going anywhere near that. As for the song itself … well, it scared me half to death the first time it came on the radio. So it’s a no from me.

[ Mod note: If you’ve never heard of this song, you might be surprised to know it only stayed off of #1 on the charts because of a little song called “Hey Jude”. ]

It’s that time of year again ...

This blog is rising from the dead, and The Same Faces are here to rock another Halloween!

Come to their Halloween show for a spooky, groovy Trick or Treat experience! Who knows what you’ll get - or who you’ll get it from?

All you need to do is send in “Trick or Treat!” and you’ll find out on Halloween! (And if you’re in a groovy costume, feel free to let them know about it.) You’ll be greeted by a randomly selected Same Face, and they’ve got a box full of tricks and treats just for you!

We’ll accept up to 25 asks for this event, all of them to be answered on Wednesday, October 31. Get in line to trick or treat with the Same Faces now!

Same Faces Christmas Special!

The Same Faces get their very own TV special on Christmas Eve - and they want to hear from you!

Send in questions, messages, declarations of love - anything so long as you don’t mind it being broadcast live!

They’ll also have stockings that they’ll be emptying during the show, so if you drop a gift in, they’ll open it on the air!

The asks will be answered on Sunday, 12/24, through queued posts. Only the first 24 will be answered!

Same Faces teas are here!

With the weather cooling down, who wouldn’t want to snuggle up with their favorite Same Face? Unfortunately, these busy boys can’t be in several hundred fans’ arms at once, so here’s the next best thing - a nice hot cup of tea!* Each flavor is inspired by one of The Same Faces, named after a song from his playlist.

Adagio Teas lets fans create their own blends based on their fandoms. When someone buys your custom blend, you can either choose to recieve points towards buying more tea, or donate 5% of the blend’s sale to charity. 5% of each sale of Same Faces tea will go towards St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, a cause that is near and dear to Mod Daisy’s heart and home.

So what are you waiting for? Settle in with a nice cup of Same Faces tea and do a little good for some kids at the same time. Check out the images above for descriptions!

* If hot tea isn’t your thing, several of these blends taste good iced or cold brewed, too! Mod Daisy recommends cold brewing Feelin’ Groovy for a really refreshing drink.

“Trick or Treat!” Curly shows up at the party, dressed up in a replica of Uhura’s Starfleet uniform. “I brought some popcorn balls for you guys!”

The cardboard door is pushed open - with a little difficulty, but the shadowy figure behind finally comes into view. He’s the most adorable little vampire anyone’s ever seen, all decked out in black and pink. He tries to look dignified, but those big ol’ eyes give him away. Especially when popcorn balls are mentioned.

“Oooh, really? I’d take out my fangs for those! I- I mean.” Todomatsu clears his throat. “Later. But thank you! I hope I can come up with something good in return!” He hums a little to himself as he digs through the bag, and hands Curly a little orange-and-black-wrapped package with a wink. “Happy Halloween!”

“Nice legs!” comes a shout from one of the “windows” of the cardboard house. Werewolf Osomatsu is leaning out as far as he can get without destroying the structural integrity. Todomatsu stomps and pouts.

“Get back in there and wait your turn!”

Once Curly opens the package, she finds she’s been gifted with a full-size fancy chocolate bar!

“Trick or treat?” A big guy in a bear outfit turns up, looking happy but confused.

The door opens with a flourish - the force of which nearly knocks the cardboard house over, but shouting and scuffling from inside helps it to stand up straight again. Someone shouts for a stagehand.

Karamatsu is … supposed to be the Invisible Man, but the glitter dusted over the bandages around his face and the shiny blue sunglasses on his nose make him difficult to miss.

“Ah, I see a friend from the forest has arrived!” He bows deeply. “I don’t know if I have any honey or berries in this bag, but I hope what you get will comfort and sustain you for the long winter ahead!”

He produces a wrapped orange-and-black gift from the bag and hands it over. “And if anyone asks … you never saw me.” Good luck with that.

The bear has received … a tiny stuffed flamingo.
