She didn't really take notice of it at first. Maybe because she was engrossed in the movie or maybe because she was relaxed. And on his part, he was being subtle about it. A slight sniffle here, a surreptitious wipe at his face. However, she did notice, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye at first. She caught the gleam of a tear before he wiped it off and she turned to face him fully, eyes squinting slightly.
