Hey hey, tell me about your Inuyasha self inserts. I want to hear more about them! :3c

waaaAAAAAAAAH OKAY!! sorry it took me forever to respond to this, you send this right as i was falling asleep last night and then i kept getting distracted by downloading stardew valley mods and working on d&d stuff. ; v ; im actually really bad at describing my characters once someone asks but i will try. i’ll list a couple things but if you want to know anything specific, please feel free to ask.

also side note: my self inserts are me, but… an idealized version of myself. rather than just literally insert myself, i create a version of myself i’d like to see/be in that world. so while they are me, i tend to refer to them in third person because they tend to vary and it’s easier to distinguish them.

-because Akane was kept cooped up her entire life, she really has no clue how the outside world works. she sort of just runs into situations head first, because what is impulse control? this tends to backfire a lot of the time, it might be a bit wild for average villagers to watch a girl with bright red hair, glowing eyes, horns, and sharp teeth run towards them.

-she also has no volume control. after having no one to really interact with but her father and servants for all her life, her excitement at finding out new things can get the best of her.

-her fire has two different properties depending on the color; her main one, which is a normal fire color with a bit more of a golden hue, is just like a normal dragon-ish flame. then there’s one that’s sort of a lavender color, and it can actually heal. there might even be more types of fire she has, however, she has very little control over her fire at the moment, so she’s lucky if she can even keep her normal fire under control.

-she has a lot of other kirin traits that present themselves now and then, but all of them are still pretty uncontrollable. a lot of them are just subconscious quirks, like she pays a lot of attention to where she walks without even thinking so she doesn’t walk on any bugs or other small creatures, and she doesn’t eat meat (this is a kirin trait, but she doesnt know it; meat just always upsets her stomach every times she’s tried to eat it. the only time she’s been able to eat meat without it making her sick is when she eats it on the night she turns human once a month).

-when it comes to her relationship with inuyasha, it’s always been her thinking “i have this weird feeling around him… it must be really strong platonic friendship!!! :D” she’s never had friends her age, let alone a crush. she thinks that because she relates to inuyasha on a different level, due to them both being of mixed blood, that she just feels a stronger kind of friendship. its only when kagome talks some sense into her that she realizes just what she’s feeling.

those are the only things i could really think of. like i said, i’m awful at describing my characters without specific prompting, so feel free to ask about anything you specifically want to know about her!

lady and the tramp & sleeping beauty + fjord >:3c

lady and the tramp - how have you and your f/o changed over the course of your relationship?

Anya and Fjord have definitely gotten more affectionate with each other; their relationship honestly started out with a lot of denial. neither of them saw themselves as the falling in love type, so at first they were like “nah we just happen to be inexplicably attracted to each other, and also occasionally sleep together, it’s definitely casual”

after they accepted their feelings, they still are pretty nonchalant about their relationship and dont act much different from before they were together, just now they arent scared to be outwardly affectionate and also are much more blatant about staring at each others asses.

sleeping beauty - any hurdles you have had to go through during your relationship?

a couple; first off that whole not accepting their in love thing. another was Anya’s anxiety about her lycanthropy. just before they officially got together, Anya and Fjord actually had a falling out about it, because Anya was constantly being stand-offish towards the rest of the group. i’m actually writing a fic about this bit, but its currently 8031 words and nowhere close to being finished, so lets see how that turns out. :’)

13. Helping the other dry and brush their hair after a shower.

couple: Dick G.rayson and Anya Garcia-Mendez (DC)Anya has left her mentor and surrogate mother, Selina, and has been welcomed into Wayne Manor by Bruce at Dick’s request. Dick knows how much she hates having wet hair.

went with Dick for the f/o, just because i had this idea for him! there’s a bit more to this story and it’s angsty and convoluted, so here’s a small snippet of it. feat. a friend’s oc!

“Well… at least I got her to agree to take a shower,”

Dick leaned against the wall, running his hand through his hair. He held his cell phone up to his ear, his cheek feeling hot from prolonged contact with the screen.

“That’s good,” The voice on the other line came through, sounding tired. “From what you’ve told me, it sounds like she can be stubborn in that regard.”

“Yeah…” Dick responded, leaning his head back. “I don’t know what to do, Jules. She’s never been this bad.”

“It sounds like everything’s happening really fast for her,” Jules said, “Just give her time, let her work it out at her own pace. But don’t be afraid to give her a nudge if she needs it.”

“Yeah, I guess.” Dick sighed, pushing himself from the wall and making his way down one of Wayne Manor’s long hallways. “Thanks, Jules; I’ll talk to you later.”

Exchanging goodbyes, Dick ended the call, taking a few more steps down the hall before moving to one of the doors. Letting it swing open, he glanced around the bedroom he’d occupied as a child, one he would still come back to every so often. It took him a moment to register just what he saw, and it caused him to sigh.

She was curled up on the far edge of the king size bed, as far away from him as she could get, curled up into herself, only covered by a thick towel. Her long auburn hair was clearly slick, heavily saturated with water; she must have just gotten out of the shower and situated herself in her current position. She didn’t acknowledge Dick as he walked up to the bed’s other side.

“Anya,” he said softly. She didn’t respond, but he saw her body twitch ever so slightly. “Do you need something? Clothes, maybe?”

Anya was quiet, and Dick was almost convinced she wasn’t going to answer before her voice came out in a quiet, hoarse whisper; “M’fine…” 

Dick’s heart squeezed at how empty her words sounded. 

“At least get your hair dry. You always complain when you have to go to bed with wet hair.”

Anya just made an uninterested noise in reply. Taking a deep breath through his nose, Dick made his way around to stand beside her, squatting down so he could look at her face. Her eyes were open, and they flicked to look at him when he came into her field of vision, but they were hard and lifeless, staring ahead without focusing on anything. 

“C’mon,” Dick said softly, using his hand to pull a lock of wet hair from her face and tuck it behind her ear. “Let me help you.” 

Anya’s eyes looked to him again, and she stayed still, just looking at him. Dick was thinking he was going to have to pick her up bridal style when she pushed herself up slowly into a sitting position. Smiling, Dick walked over to his dresser, pulling open one of the drawers and grabbing a random t-shirt of his, tossing it her way. After she slipped it on, she pulled her knees up to her chest, covering them with the oversized shirt and wrapping her arms around them. 

Dick wandered into his bathroom, grabbing a hairbrush, a hair tie, and a fresh, dry towel. He walked back to the bed, sitting himself behind Anya and removing her damp towel from the bed, taking the dry towel and rubbing it gently over her hair, trying his best to draw out the water. 

They were both quiet for a good while as Dick worked at drying Anya’s hair, occasionally taking the hairbrush and running it through to smooth out any knots or tangles before going back to working with the towel. 

A good fifteen minutes had passed when Anya spoke, taking Dick by surprise.

“I’m sorry…” she said, her voice small. 

“For what?” Dick replied, running his fingers through her hair and deciding this was as dry as her ridiculously thick locks were gonna get.  

“I dunno… everything?” Anya muttered, her voice sounding choked. “Having to deal with me and my issues? Making it so you have to come back to Bruce’s place, just for my sake? Just… me in general?”

Dick was quiet as he put the towel down to join the other one on the floor. Taking the hairbrush, he ran it through her hair a couple of times before parting into three sections, beginning to twist it into a loose braid.

“You don’t have to be sorry for that stuff,” he said, his fingers moving methodically. “Especially not for you in general. You need help, and I want to help you.” The length of her hair braided, he took the hair tie and wrapped it around the end. 

“I’m just…” There was a hitch in Anya’s voice, and Dick could hear her swallow, as if she were choking on her words. “I hate being a burden…”

Dick’s felt a pang in his heart at the tone of misery in her voice. He leaned forward, pressing his lips against the crown of her head. Her hair still had a hint of dampness to it, and felt cool against his mouth. 

“You’re not a burden,” he whispered into her hair, wrapping his arms around her waist. “You’re never a burden; I know it’s hard, but I need you to believe that.” He moved away from her, tugging on her arm and prompting her to turn to look at him. The dark circles under her eyes, the way her eyes shimmered with held-back tears, Dick reached out and pulled her close to him.

“I love you,” he breathed, holding her close to his chest as if she could fall apart if he didn’t. “Please, let me help you…”

Anya was still, then he felt her shoulders start to shake. 

“It’s okay to cry,” Dick said. So she did.
