To be perfectly honest, I haven’t talked to Song since the first half of the year and it’s been a good long while since I’ve heard from her either. The last note we left off on was that school and some things in her personal life were causing her a good bit of stress. We used to talk a bit on Skype about this and that, and things seemed to be going more or less well for her until she dropped off the map.
More than anything, I’m beginning to believe that she thought she needed to distance herself from distractions to get herself together. Maybe we were a part of those distractions or maybe she’s still working through them. I couldn’t tell you.
What I can tell you is that the person I know her as is a kind, smart, and talented young lady who was beginning to gain a grasp on the world at large. In the end, we can only really hope that she’s meeting it head on right now and making the most of things. In fact: I’m sure she’s doing just that!
