What Aslan got greeted with upon opening his door almost made him sick. "Wha--Guy?!" Quickly, he helped Guy into his home and sat him down on the couch. (Not concerned about the blood getting on anything right now.) Going to his home office, he returned promptly with various gels and his first aid kit.
He really felt bad for troubling Aslan like this. Stubbornly, he moved off the couch and to sit on the floor. It'd be easier to clean like that. Aslan may not have cared, but Guy did, he rather not cause too much trouble.
A smile as the other came back. “Sorry for bothering you with this.”
Staring at the brush with a red ribbon tied around it, Aslan sighed. He'd run out of ideas and well Zelos' old brush looked like it'd seen better days. His redhead had to run off or something so he'd been in bed most of the day. Still in his boxers, to be precise. Pulling to covers over him more, he groaned. Closing his eyes he tried to see if he could just sleep this Christmas away somehow...
Despite his best interests, there were some events Zelos couldn’t get out of making a public appearance at. He’d even been dragged from his bed well before his preferred wake up time by the insistent Princess Hilda. At least she hadn’t woken Aslan as well, since he’d been asleep in the other room. They still often slept separate since Zelos’ schedule was so irregular and no matter how often Aslan protested he didn’t mind Zelos slipping in in the middle of the night or nearly dawn, Zelos hated to wake him up.
Returning home, Zelos was surprised to see no sign of Aslan in any of the common rooms downstairs. Seles and Sebastian both maintained they hadn’t seen the General all day. Climbing upstairs, Zelos checked his own room first, but didn’t find Aslan there either. He knocked lightly on the door before pushing it open and peering into the dim room.
“Ok, just because I sleep well into the afternoon doesn’t mean you need to pick up my bad habits” he commented, noting the lump in the bed. He crossed the room and settled on the edge of the bed, tugging the tie off the end of his formal braid to start finger-combing the curls back into place. He still had plans for a Christmas dinner with Seles and Aslan, but he didn’t need to remain quite so formally dressed for that.
“Speaking of my bad habits, I ditched the party a little earlier than I should have, but I wasn’t about to leave you all alone on Christmas again.” Not counting Seles, who tended to keep to herself unless Zelos brought the three of them together. Sometimes Zelos suspected she might be jealous of Aslan for stealing his time from her, but she was always polite to Aslan. She just didn’t go out of her way to interact with him much. “Next year I should just take you with me instead. You would look pretty amazing in a suit.”

“Aslan.." He spoke quietly as he entered the general's office - a...”
He shook his head, waiting for Aslan to leave the room. “It’s not your fault, don’t apologize.” he murmured, resting his head on the general’s shoulder, “You’re being overworked...”
Aslan couldn't deny that. He was being overworked as per usual. Running his gloved hand through Peony’s hair, he sighed softly. Wrapping an arm around Peony, he held his love close to him as he proceeded to leave. “First I want to take a shower...with you. After that, we can continue to not leave each other’s sides for a very long time. Sound good?” His usually vibrant golden eyes were now dull with heavy purple bags underneath them. Kissing the Emperor’s head quickly, he whispered into his ear. “I have missed you though. Really.”

Please pay no attention to Peony by the window, he's just trying to catch a bird that flew in.
Aslan watched this as he sipped at his coffee in bed.

“Yes, though your choice of hotel is much nicer.” Smirking, Aslan sat on top of Peony. “So, what do you want to do about the fact that we got stuck in a honeymoon suite, Your Majesty?”
"Sooo.... suppose I were to lick you..." He's been lounging around silently for a while now, so it's not too surprising for an odd question to come out of his mouth at some point.
...Currently, the General was about to drop his head on his desk. If only he would allow himself to give into his exhaustion. Distracted by Peony’s question, he glanced his way with tired, slightly bloodshot, and purple bags under those dim gold eyes. “Suppose I were to let you...once we’re back at home...in bed...” Sighing, he scooted his chair back. “I literally can’t concentrate any longer and I know I must look like a wreck.”
“Is that okay with you, Your Majesty?” Aslan may be tired, but he still was trying to reply to the flirting and shenanigans of his partner. Walking over to him, his legs shook just a tiny bit as he did so. He’d been sitting in his office for almost four days straight.
