1. Jessica

Jessica brought down the house with this spectacular performance! The whole thing is complete perfection and she made the gown the star. Her minimalistic pose has a ton of conviction and it’s almost as though she’s willing the dress to fly with her mind. The closeup of her face is fire too! The fury and sheer power in her eyes is simply incredible. It was also a joy to watch her on set, and I think that she had plenty of shots just as great if not better than this one. This was such a strong week but Jessica surpassed all of her competitors with one of the season’s most iconic shots!

2. Aastha

I’m basically splitting hairs on the rest of the photos, they’re all great and I had such a hard time coming up with a call-out order. Aastha has one of the most memorable pictures of the week for me! Her pose reminds me of a matador, I adore her backwards lean and the way she’s dramatically sweeping the train of the dress forward with her arm She should’ve relaxed her mouth more, but otherwise her face is fantastic! I love her ethereal/wistful yet haughty expression, and her bone structure caught the light perfectly. Aastha really stepped up her game in this photoshoot!

3. Stephanie

Stephanie was critiqued pretty heavily this week, but I actually love her shot! She could have done a bit more with the dress and her right hand is too claw-like, but I love the graceful way she’s wafting across the stairs and coming to balance against the wall. This is one of her best face shots ever as well! Her eyes are super alluring and she looks so regal and sophisticated. Stephanie may have struggled on set but at least she pulled a stunning photo out of her hat!

4. Kate

Kate’s shot used to be my least favorite of the week but it’s grown on me! I love the calm confidence of her expression, her eyes are connecting strongly, and her bone structure is gorgeous. The simple pose is effective overall and she controlled the whirling fabric of the dress in a really neat way, but I think her raised arm needed more energy/purpose since it sort of comes off as lazy. Kate’s shot is terrific, but with a little more oomph it could’ve been even better.

5. Helena

The wide shot of Helena is pretty attention grabbing! I love how she’s in the middle of slipping down the stairs but looks fabulous while doing so. Her arms are tossed up elegantly and she treated the dress like it was an extension of herself. However, she partially lost me with her face. Her eyes aren’t focused enough for my liking and her expression is showing a bit of discomfort, though she still photographed beautifully. As a whole this is one of my favorite shots of Helena, and her landing in the bottom 2 just speaks to the caliber of this week.

6. Sofia

Sofia did an excellent job of making her shot dynamic. The motion of the dress is cool, and the lifted arms are dance-like and frame her face well. However, she has one of my least favorite closeups of the week. Her cheekbones and fiery stare are awesome, but her tense grimace/frown is throwing off the lower half of her face. Sofia was a correct choice for a bottom 2 placement at panel since she had one of the most flawed shots, but I was relieved that it was a non elimination week since her photo was still strong.
