A Series of Monsterous Events AU: Violet Baudelaire: Plant Hybrid

So, basically, Violet is a good Poison Ivy

She has the ability to control plants and uses it to build inventions that help cultivate them.

She can also "talk" to them, in the sense that she can feel what they like and don't like.

"Hey, Klaus, Can I keep these peonies in here for a while?"

"Sure, but why?"

"It's too cold for them in Sunny's room. Plus, they don't get along with the hydrangeas."

Not only does she respond to the plants feelings, the plants respond to her feelings.

For example, the first time one of her inventions failed to work, all of the plant life surrounding the Baudelaire Mansion withered to the point of almost dying.

And as she had managed to make another work on the first try, a giant tree sprouted in the middle of the living room.

Violet, what did you do?!

Nothing! I just finished the self rocking crib for Sunny!

Wait... Where is Sunny?!

Cue Sunny sliding down from one of the tree's branches.

On the day of the Mansion fire, Violet, Klaus and Sunny are still at Briny Beach.

Mr. Poe brings the news of their parents death and Violet can't believe her ears.

Once she processed what happened, she was so distraught.

Feeling worse than she ever had before, she physically grew thorns from her body.

When the Baudelaires go to see the remains of the mansion, the thorns grow thicker and increase in number.

By the time they all reach Mr. Poe's house, the thorns are almost gone aside from a few small ones that stay.

Violet decides to sleep on the floor that night so she doesn't hurt Klaus or Sunny with the remaining thorns.

On the way to Count Olaf's house the next day, all of the plants along the trolley track die as they pass.

When they enter Olaf's house, there's dead plants in broken pots everywhere.

Violet almost feels sick to her stomach at the sight.

As the Baudelaires clean the house, she finds a seedling that is just barely alive.

She places it in an empty cleaning bucket with some dirt to bury it in and brings it to their room.

That night, she is able to get it to grow to a size big enough that she can use it as a bed.

When Olaf smacks Klaus, vines grow around her arms to hold her back from attacking the evil count.

And when Olaf takes Sunny, he forces Violet to make a cage for her, threatening to just drop her out of the window of the tower.

Not wanting her baby sister to be harmed, she complies.

Violet also agrees to be in The Marvelous Marriage, if only to protect Klaus too.

As Klaus and Violet try to come up with a plan that night, Violet thinks of something but doesn't tell Klaus.

On the day of the play, Violet still signs.

Klaus shows up and tries to stop her but he's too late.

Violet finally breaks and tells Justice Strauss about Olaf's true intentions and also explains that she didn't sign with her own hand

In fact, she grew a new one from the plant she used as a bed.

Olaf is so angry that he tells Fernald to drop the cage but he bursts through the door with Sunny in the wheelbarrow.

As the troupe runs away, the Baudelaires try to stop them.

Violet tried to use the plant to prevent them from leaving but the troupe escapes before she can.

More thorns reappear but for that moment, she's just glad Sunny and Klaus are ok
