The virtue of Patience continued
I was attending local church yesterday and the lady Pastor said she had prepared a Bible study session but instead she felt pressed to preach on endurance.
I was shocked when she introduced this topic because I remembered that is the season I am in with God. I remembered clearly telling Pauline that through everything God has been telling me to be patient and to endure.
I was even more shocked when I remembered the verse of the day:
"Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus," Romans 15:5 AMPC.
From this verse I learned patience and endurance is not easy it requires power in order to do it and God gives us that power. He will empower you and give you the ability to be patient, He doesn't just ask you to endure without given you ability He loves you too much to do that to you. When He empowers you, patience becomes easy.
And that God encourages us. He will never discourage, anytime I feel encouraged I must know that is God Talking to me I must not doubt what He is saying. It is dangerous to doubt God.
From the teaching at local church I learned some things to do during the time of patient endurance:
1.) Have faith
2.) Be very devoted and committed to the things of God like when you just got born again.
3.) Don't be lazy to pray
4.) Don't forsake the fellowship of the brethren
5.) Be consistent
6.) There's always a reward in the end.
Imagine that God,gives us the power to endure and then rewards us for enduring. His purpose is that we should get the reward no matter what. We have to accept His help to endure. When you fail to endure the angels look at you as a pathetic person because God has provided everything for your endurance, He's made it super easy for you like letting a child win on purpose on a cards game coz you want them to win since you already know they can't beat you.
The lady Pastor read from;
"Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor's] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him." James 1:12 AMPC
Today's verse
"There is none holy like the Lord, there is none besides You; there is no Rock like our God."
1 Samuel 2:2 AMPC
These were the words of Hannah after God had come through for her when she waited for Him years and years.
Oh how beautiful it is to be in a season that you're sure God is taking you through for you to get a reward at the end.
