THICKEN YOUR PATIENCE
THICKEN YOUR PATIENCE || trishiadimatulac || July 14, 2020
Life is truly unpredictable, you don’t know what comes tomorrow, the day after that, and years after that. Often times, we wished we knew what comes next, but the only way to actually know it is by being at that very moment of occurrence. And through that time of waiting, we must fill in the moments- the moments in life where you didn’t really plan about, moments that had occurred out of nowhere and realize it wasn’t all so bad after all and maybe we didn’t really need for that wish to come true. But with the help of our patience, all the things we wished in life will eventually come true, maybe not in our desired time but in the right time. The virtue of patience strengthens relationships, values, and even people. It’s like the golden key to all doors, once obtained it opens new perspectives, as well as opportunities and new beginnings. I am that type of person who wants everything to be instant. I don’t like lining up in an endless line just to buy my favorite ice cream, I don’t like keeping myself waiting for something or someone, I want everything to happen already at my desired time and place. But that’s not how it works. Have you ever had that moment where the more you’re wanting for that thing the more you’ll never actually going to have it? But if you’re just chill and not expecting anything, things eventually find its way to you. It’s like this- Don’t seek, let yourself be found. Most of us don’t have that time to wait and be found. We are tired, we want things to happen already, we want straight answers. We want to understand things at a snap of a finger the way they are without actually examining the cause and reason to it. We often hear this phrase- “I can’t wait!” We can actually wait, we have all the time in the world, we just don’t want to, we are so preoccupied to have a little patience. Sometimes, the “just focus on your goal” thing doesn’t really work out anymore. Because your life doesn’t just revolve around that certain goal. There are a lot of moments in between, which you fill in, while you wait. Everything in life is in-progress. Sometimes, that in-progress moments towards your desired goal are actually better and more important than your actual goal. We never know if that goal will eventually happen or not, it might bring us satisfaction or disappointment, totally unknown. Let it find its way to you…Just wait.
