Reminder that romantic relationships are not more mature than friendships.

I know that it’s enforced in us since a young age, where they rarely have romantic relationships except as a turning point of “growing up” when they’re preteens or something.

A friendship’s maturity is based on how you two treat each other. A romantic relationship’s maturity is based on how you two treat each other.

And you know what else? You don’t HAVE to have mature friendships either. Or mature relationships.

This goes for sexual relationships too. Sex isn’t just more mature because people say so. Plenty of sexual based relationships are immature. Plenty are mature. It’s about how you treat each other.
