Who are we, really? Energy follows focus into form. We spend our life expanding our awareness along 7 different aspects or focus points. These aspects correspond to the chakra system as well as the…
Flow charts work well for me because my mind flows very quickly from one thing to the next via connections and thoughts are fleeting and difficult to pinpoint before being whipped away and forgotten again. This goes for emotion too. I don't always catch them when the intensity is too low, and then they disappear; and while it might trouble me slightly, I have to shrug it off and skip right to ignoring it. When the intensity is stronger this is basically how my mind works to figure what I'm feeling. Strong base emotions are fast to process but still go through the mental filter of "can I say this without coming across badly and putting a negative mark on the relationship tally"(more on that particular later, perhaps). The more difficult or neutral the emotions, the more time I need to think and sometimes just can't feel it deeply enough to make a certain decision. And when in doubt I say nothing, because I don't say anything indecisive. Basically, there is a huge process going on in my brain that takes a while to work through sometimes and I don't always reach a conclusion so thanks for being patient with me and taking the time to understand.
The many faces of 'Lucien'
Jeez, I don't know how many names I've gone through trying to find "me".
I've been Jessica, I've been Jess, I've been Ashnen, I've been Ravagon, I've been Kuro, I've been Tappaa, I've been Danny, I've been so many things. My name now is Lucien Flaithri but who knows if something will come along that will cause me to be redesigned or to evolve as an individual.
It's hard not being able to fit yourself in a cookie-cutter label or stereotype. I'm neither gay nor straight, sexual or asexual, I am not solely male nor am I completely female. Some days I am the dandy with a skip in their step and brandy in their glass who can woo even the cold-hearted and is loved by all. On other days I'm the delicate flower who must be protected from everyone and everything lest I be tainted. There are some days I'm the mad scientist who is so blinded by their own mad genius that I cannot see that my creation is coming to end my life, while in others I am the beaten victim who only has eyes for revenge. I can be the brute that stamps their feet, the tyrant who executes on paranoia, the ghost who floats by un-noticed. I can sweep someone off their feet as easily as I can be swept off my own, I feel at home in bloomers and in skirts, in suits and in dresses. I can be a Saint, I can be a Sinner, I can be a fair Maiden, I can be the cold Gentleman. All these things and more combine into this thing that I have now labeled 'Lucien'.
But everyone once one "straight" answer. I'm told I can't be both the charming Prince and the innocent Princess. I cannot be the damsel tied to the train tracks as well as the dastardly villain who put her there. I have to be one or the other.
But how can I be when I'm not just a Princess and not just a Prince? What can I tell someone who won't accept the answer "I am Me".
