read "that's my atypical girl" manga. the male protag i think has depression and anxiety, and the girl has autism, ptsd, ocd, and panic disorder.

i have never read such a realistic manga before. even in slice of life mangas, things tend to be exaggerated quite a bit for comedic effect or drama... but this seems to be very true to life. its a very cathartic read.

i have looked up animes before with autistic characters but none really felt they represented me well, so i decided to look up mangas for more options. im glad i did so, i was surprised to find something that represented me so well.

i wish i could put it better into words but it has a variety of such specific scenarios that most people wouldnt notice, that i can relate to in my own life... i feel like this manga captured it better even moreso than american media with autistic characters.

its one thing to have simply a autistic character, but a autistic character that also has ptsd and suicidal ideation... i know its very sad but, im just happy that someone cared so much about it to put it on paper and draw it out, and write it out.

whether we live long or short, our time here has value. we can be a voice for other people in the same situations as us... even if it is very difficult maybe somehow i can find a way to live. maybe i can find some way to not be lonely. with autism it is hard to get a job, or maintain relationships... i feel very scared i am doomed to homelessness because of my disability.

but maybe there is hope that things can get better.
