TENNOTOBER 2024 [DAYS FIVE TO SIXTEEN]
I was a bit bummed out by the lack of interactions with the first four pieces of this captura event but then I said "fuck it" and sat down to take some shots. Here are they. I'll put them under the cut to not clog your entire timeline.
Aspera and Carya are hanging out in the Kitchen making some pizza out of their favourite ingredients when something interesting comes up on the TV and catches their attention.
Back at the café, Sativa uses his magic to show some tricks to Carya with a conjured food mouse.
This is my first (full) illustration with these characters after I actually started developing them with my gf, and I want to keep using them and put them in more situations. To give some more context here, they’re are both roomates that work on the same Coffee Shop: Sip of Tea. Carya is the waitress there, while Aspera is the patissier. I had stablished that Carya is an university student working there part-time and Aspera is probably around her age, but since we focused mostly around Carya's interactions with the Sativa, I haven't developed Aspera’s goals yet. Back at the Coffee Shop, Carya often finds herself talking to a strange fellow named Sativa that usually sits by the exterior everyday. He eventually accepts to teach her a bit of magic, as she is both curious about it and can think of good uses for everyday life-hacks. This time, since I wanted to fit as much stuff as possible without overworking myself I tried to go with a linework style, with lighter colours and lighting. I want to keep experimenting more with my artstyle, even if I enjoy going into line-less mode most of the time. As for the sketches with Sativa, I still haven’t chosen which of these I’d like to colour. They feel a bit too similar so far, so maybe I should raise up the magic antics on the left one and do both.
Aspera, the violetblood broodmother. He’s very pensive but he does his very best for the children! It’s not often that a Violet gets the acclaimed title of Broodmother, but after being born with his gills on only his chest and torso and being paid special attention as a child, he decided to spend his life paying forward that kindness.
A pinch of Asp/Sonnie Original Universe art. Some Morrowind lovers we are, yep, @dertira-cousland ? Drawing this pic was an awesome chance for me to improve my Photoshop skills regarding to lineart and such stuff, and JD looked enthusiastic enough to color this pic with an amazing palette and also render some juicy shadows. I can state I enjoyed the process and I only hope that my bro felt the same :^) Yet again, these are our guys being pictured together among the giant mushrooms of Vvardenfell. What could possibly go wrong huh?
