Giant bottle of asprins
This book is dedicated to the meory of Leo Liepmann, co-founder of Oxfam and at one time our landlord in Oxford. Jewish in origin, Quaker in belief, Professor of economics in Breslau, he left Germany in 1933, as soon as Hitler came to power, carrying with him a giant bottle of asprins which I remember admiring in his kitchen.
