The Navagraha temple is located in the town of Guwahati, Assam, India at the top of Chitrachal Hill. In the temple are nine Lord Shiva phallic emblems, each covered in a separate cloth of Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Brihaspati, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, and Ketu. Nine Shivalingas, each with a colorful garment symbolic of each heavenly organ, representing the nine celestial bodies, are inscribed in this temple with a Shivalingas. The Navagraha temple was constructed in the early 18th century by Ahom King Rajeswar Singha. Earlier an earthquake destroyed the temple tower and a bigger part of it. But the Garbhagriha or the internal and the top part of the temple was able to survived and it was replaced with corrugated steel sheets.
