or perhaps: an assassin
look. i went to assassin camp but i decided to go a different direction with my life.
shelomit replied to your post “speaking of sharpening knives, i have to attempt to sharpen my Wusthof...”
I figured they taught this kind of thing at Assassin Camp?
1) it's definitely not Assassin Camp.
2) I can get a razor edge on my little Opinel, but that cost $10 and my Wusthof chef's knife cost a lot more than that
the-joys-of-writing replied to your post “I’ve been thinking about “a good workman doesn’t blame his tools,”...”
hot take: tools used to be a lot simpler so a good workman could modify them to perform better, something that we now can't do, more often than not we don't know what makes or breaks these tools at all

idionkisson replied to your post: “if you went to Princeton, why are you applying...
is that what they teach you at assassin camp
If I had been to assassin camp, which I would like to reiterate that I have not, I would have learned many useful skills but would still have to have a cover job.
@shelomit I meant to tell you about the version of One More River we sang at camp - it's impossible to find a specific one because there are so many, so I recorded it for you, ft. my mediocre voice & some of the truly terrible verses, like "said the ant to the antelope / 'who are you shovin''" for seven, which makes no sense.
